Wedding buddies it is:-)!! Lol, we tried to book the day of your wedding but could not get what we wanted. Same here, I have scoured this site and feel like I have so much info, that I feel overwhelmed!! If you have any questions, feel free to pm me, as I will you:-) right now I am probably being annoying to Pilar, because our photographer mentioned maybe having to use a flash for our ceremony and I'm freaking lol!

Lol!   I'm sure they are use to all the questions.  The photographer might use a flash during the ceremony??!  Can you see about switching your time to make it at 4pm instead?  It shouldn't be a problem to change it if you want.

Mlite83: thanks for your input! I'm wondering if anyone knows if they have vases you can rent out and if so, how much? I really don't want to pack fragile items in my luggage nor do I want to leave the resort to go shopping for them there.

You can rent them from the resort but I think it's fairly expensive to do so.  You can always get blume boxes to take with you. They lay flat and you just pop them open, then you can put the bouquets in them.

I was thinking about the same thing the idea - I really don't want to pack vases so I'm hoping the resort has some to rent!  If anyone knows please fill me in :)

Hi, I'm new to this thread but I've been reading all the helpful posts. My wedding won't be until early 2014 but I have already started planning the little details. I have not seen anyone do this yet but I was hoping for some opinions. First off, does anyone know how much they charge for a floral centerpiece? Second, what do you all think if I used the bridesmaids bouquets as the centerpieces like in the picture below? Would guests think that's tacky/cheap? a>
Hi!! The centerpieces are either $65 for a tropical or $85 for Devine. A premium centerpiece is $185!! I know the wedding guide online has some pics for an example. I like the bouquet idea, it's def cheaper!! I have heard of brides leaving the resort and bringing in flowers, which usually is a lot cheaper!! So you could consider that too:-)

I'm not sure if they have any to rent out, but I know there is a Walmart in Playa Del Carmen. I'm planning on going there and picking up some vases and doing floating candles instead of flowers and then using my bridesmaids bouquets for a little floral touch.  My wedding coordinator at the resort quoted  $65 for centerpeices from the Eternity package and $85 from the Divine. Hope this helps!

Thanks, that helps a lot ladies! Now I have a question about the reservation process. Pilar had emailed me asking me to scan my credit card and the back of it with my signature which they use as the ID. Did everyone else do this? I'm just a little sceptical because I have never heard of this.

Yup that is what she had us do too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
