OFFICIAL NOW Jade Wedding Thread

Recommended Posts

Hi Jackie, I am using Teresa with vacations4less and signed my contract wtih her back in February of 2012. I think she's fantastic and I have no regrest with my decision to use her.   Also, I still have the best rates since signing my contract in February Since you have already chosen Now Jade, keep in mind that no matter who you choose as a TA there will be limitations to the number of free rooms you will recieve as set by AM reosrts (I assume you'er referring to the book 5 get the 6 free).  From my previous conversations with Teresa, if a lower rate is published at any point I can have my group rate adjusted and if there is a promo of some sort of another website, more than likely she can price match.  With that said it would be your responisibliyt to periodically check and make the request.  My best adivice is just to ask any and every question that comes to mind.  Teresa is a great resource and I have honestly ome to trust her. Good luck, let me know if you have any other questions. Tova
I am using Teresa as well and love her, she is so quick to respond, super helpful, and makes everything so much easier! I was using a local ta originally and so so glad we switched!! Tova, it seems we have the same wedding week, resort choice and travel agent!! Haha :) great minds think alike right!? ;)

a WTA agent can def. help with 100 guests.  We have had weddings over 100 guest and it was a breeze!

During the spring webinair Pilar said on the terrace you can have round, rectangular or a long table.  The long table can be for 20-40 people.  Round table can hold 8-10 (I think about 1 m across) so I would guess the rectangular table would be similar?

The only thing is I got a videographer from outside of the resort lol becuase I fell in love with your video. I didnt realize that was the resort videographer! but this way atleast my photographer and videographer are from the same company so they wont be fighting over who gets the first shot and what not.

Does any frequent tripadvisor.com as much as I do? Since January I have been diligently reading reviews on Now Jade on a weekly/semi-weekly basis, but have become concerned over the past month with the number of negative reviews that Iâ€ve been reading. I read every review with a grain of salt. I know that some people are impossible to please, while others can be too easily impressed.  However, there are more and more negative reviews that are a bit unsettling. Chance are, if these reviews were posted when I choosing a resort, I might have been leary to book my wedding here. I donâ€t mean to put anyone on edge, I guess Iâ€m just hoping for a bit of reassurance.

I haven't been following traipadvisor but I have been watching Now Jade on FB and I have only seen 1 negative review in the past several months (and he complained about everything - ants, the wind, the juice, the towels etc) so obviously he isn't an accurate or representative reviewer.  Otherwise there are dozens of positive remarks each week - lots of repeat customers and quite a few brides too.  Hopefully that can put you at ease a bit!

I agree with Mlite. I follow both tripadvisor.com and facebook. As you said, you have to take each review with a grain of salt. People that have a not so good experience are faster to jump online and write a bad review than someone that has a good experience. I stopped looking at trip advisor for a little bit b/c I felt like I was going to drive myself crazy. A lot of the negative reviews I read had to do with problems checking in, which I have read the same about many other resorts. One thing that's bothering me is the reviews about it being unsanitary. That bothers me but there's nothing we can do at this point but be positive. Our trips are going to be amazing ladies!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
