Check out Sascha Gluck.  He was actually less expensive in total when you factor in the extra hours you'll have to pay for with AdventurePhotos and the cost of getting your photos on DVD (keep in mind the package only gives you a certain # of photos in an album. No actual photos or dvd with pics).  Sascha's price includes ALL pics which he send to you on a zip drive.  You canc check out my Now Jade review as well as my review for Sascha Gluck to see photos.

PS. We did use our photos that came in the Eternity Package with AdventurePhotos.  We just used them for a TTD session instead.

Here is the link to see our TTD session with AdventurePhotos:

(keep in mind this isn't how they do their wedding photos and we asked them to take us to Maroma Beach to shoot at an abandoned house... but if you are looking for a TTD session, they were great!)

Do you have any of your wedding pics from Sascha? How much did he charge and what kind of coverage did you get? The only concern I have with Adventure photos is some of their poses look kind of cookie cutter to me, but I suppose you could always have your own ideas for poses.. hmmm..

Do you mind me asking how much you tipped everyone?

I don't remember exactly but I think I tipped Pilar $50, Deisy $25, The DJ's $5 or $10 each - same with the waiters. I also think that we tipped the officiant $5 or $10. I probably didn't need to tip Pilar that much but I was feeling generous haha

I was also wondering the same! My wedding is booked for January 8th/2013. Pilar was my wedding planner and I recently upgraded to the Divine package and I have been in contact with Deisy. She responds to her e-mails much faster than Pilar did, but they both seem very nice. Glad to hear that they are both excellent. This website has been awesome! I am not stressed out at all about anything because I have not heard one negative review on any wedding at the Now Jade! :)

Does Deisy have a different email contact? I am going pretty much one month between Pilars responses and it is KILLING me!

If it is open just tell them that you want it earlier.  It should not be a problem.  I had mine at the Pergola at 4pm.

There were weddings their earlier than that and if it is open I would request an earlier time slot.

I ran into the same issue when I was looking to book our ceremony at the Pergola. The calander shown on their main website appeared as if several days were free. It wasn't until I emailed Pilar to book that she told me there was already weddings being held there for the time I was looking for. Mine is at 4pm. I think their calander fills up pretty quickly and they are just a little slower when it comes to updating the website...

Ya there is a delay getting bookings on the website, we noticed that after we confirmed our date it was several weeks before it was reflected online.  I found the easiest way to get a quick answer on what days/times are available is to call Pilar, we did that and she gave us a run down of dates that were already booked and we went from there.

I brought a TON of fake petals with me (not freeze dried).  It is very windy and they just blow around (I was on the Pergola) but Deisy sprinked some right before I was ready to walk down the aisle.  They also put some on the Mix Bar set up for the cocktail reception and they used a bunch for the table settings for the actual reception inside.  So yes, they will use them...wherever you want!  :)

Kerri - Did you bring silk flower petals? If so, where did you purchase them?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
