Hmmm, this is good info. I actually assumed that the opposite would happen (most would reply electronically), probably because the only thing I mail out are boxes/packages and I do everything on the internet. And I assumed that it was a big commitment and people would put the invite aside and potentionally lose the RSVP card.

Maybe I should revise my RSVP card to include the entree selection.  My fear was the the RSVP card would become to cluttered (attending or not, # of guest, 4 entree selections, 1 veg, and allergy notes) but maybe if I play arounnd with the layout I might be able to make something work.

I do want to have maracas and thought about tying a name tag on each with the entree selection but I also want to have the cute saying about "shaking the maraca" and it's too much to have 2 tags on the maraca. Would it be too much to have names & entree on one side and the saying about shaking the maraca on the other side?

I think this option might work. My only concern is if people pick up their maracas "shake for a kiss" and put them down with the entree selection face down, or two maracas end up between two plates, than the servers may momentarily question who gets what. Not a huge issue, and it should be a quick easy clarification, but just something to think about.

I'm trying to book online using the Wedding Request Form but it keeps asking me to put in a check-in date when there is no such field. I've done it twice now on 2 computers last night and just now.  Anyone else encounter this problem?

Thanks!

Hmmm, when I booked I just contacted the WC (Pilar) directly to inquire about availability [email protected]

Give that a shot, you should have better luck.

Hmmm. I'm not sure. Are you trying to request a wedding date? It may be easier to email the wedding department: [email protected]

Good luck! :)

the sun sets at different times thoughout the year. What month do you plan on getting married?

Another question! I need some clarification. The Wedding Information guide Pilar sent to me list a DJ for $1000 for 4 hours. But isn't the reception only 3 hours?

Also, the guide she sent me is from 2012. Does anyone have the 2013 wedding info guide?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
