I was on my site visit for your wedding and caught a glimpse of the setup. I thought it turned out beautiful, even in the rain :-) You didn't assign everyone an actual seat, just table, right? Did they pick up their bottles and take them to their seat at the assigned table? Thanks!

Thanks! Correct, I just assigned each person or couple to a table. Yes, they took their bottles to their tables.  Only a few were left behind.

I am not sure the answer to this but I do know that unlimited alcohol is already included at the reception

Thanks!

Lauren

If the buffett is open that night you might have people watching but I think that you would have that no matter what time you get married. It probably will be a little dark for pictures but I'm sure a good photographer won't have a problem with that.

Regarding the day pass fee for the photographer and assistants. It's good to ask Pilar but I will say that once I got there she didn't charge me for my photographer. Stupid me even said something to her about the extra fee and she told me not to worry about it. I wasn't charged for a lot of things that I was supposed to be charged for (things that she said I would be charged for in emails.) Not sure if that happens a lot but I was surprised how easy everything was regarding the fees once I was there.

I wanted to make some sort of sign that says something along the lines of "Today we become one family so choose a seat, not a side" I'm just having trouble on which type of sign to bring. I found some yard sign type things on vistaprint but you  need to like stick them in the grass or sand and we will be at the Pergola. Does anyone have any idea how we could display a sign like that? I am soo un-creative.

You could get a wood sign and have it leaning against something...or have a chalkboard and write it. The resort might have an easal that you can use but I would check with Pilar about that.

To brides that have already been married at the resort:

So I sent my Save the Dates and it looks like I will have about 10-12 guests that will not be staying at the resort. Has anyone had the same situation. I know Pilar said that an all day pass is $110 but there is also a 1/2 day pass. Did they allow your guests to come for the ceremony and reception? Did your guest pay the pass when they arrived at the resort? Did you pay it? How did it work? Any good/bad experiences?

Thank you! Just worried about it...

I don't have the answers to your question-sorry! But I'm just wondering where your guest are staying? I haven't been to the resort yet but from my understanding, the Jade is kinda located in a secluded area.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
