Great! I am glad you can see the pictures because I can't for some reason!

Yes so happy to finally see things coming together! I am a big list person but it seems like every time I cross something off the list 10 more things get added! I have not yet received a final quote from Pilar just yet. I still need to send her my finalized papers which are due soon! I am guessing she will provide that to me after.  At first I was thinking the same thing....the more the better! Until I realized how much more I will be paying but hey....it is only a once in a lifetime event and I am happy to have anyone who can make it! I believe it comes out to $66.78 per person (including 11% taxes and 15% service fee) after the 25 included in our divine package so we will be paying about 1,335.60 extra just for the reception if my math is correct! So you are right....it does add up! Although we are saving on the centerpieces we are still paying to upgrade to tiffany chairs an extra $10 per chair! Table cloths are $23 per table....

Hope this helped a little!

I have not completely figured out how I am packing these yet! I called the airline and they said I can bring vases in my carry on so I might do that. I would have to give one to each person to take with them. I will be bringing 5 of them. 1 for each table. I have also been saving bubble wrap from all the things I bought online! I was also thinking of buying those tight seal bags that you use a vacuum to suck all of the air out for our clothing to minimize luggage space in our suitcase!

For anyone who wanted to make their own centerpieces but didn't want to lug large vases down to Mexico....

A few people have suggested buying the vases in Playa del Carmen.  There is a Walmart down there (actually I think there are two) and some other stores that could provide you with the materials you need.  I am not doing centerpieces but I am so intrigued I'll definitely stop by Walmart while I am out in Playa.  You never know what you might find!!!!

I'll provide info when I get back for anyone whose is up for the challenge of making their centerpieces in Mexico!!!!  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
