2013 Grande Palladium Resort Jamaica Brides

Recommended Posts

I am planning on getting married at GP in June 2013. I was wondering what everyone did for save the dates? I would also love to hear about the construction...I haven't contacted the WC yet but will be doing that real soon. I am glad to have found some other 2013 brides to compare notes with.

Hey ladies!

I just got back from Grand Palladium Jamaica - went for a pre-wedding visit !

It's a stunning property with amazing people. The food was pretty good too! I'm really happy I went... it TOTALLY put my mind at ease and now I'm even MORE excited that I picked this resort for my destination wedding! I got to see all the ceremony sites and reception areas... so happy with the choices we made after seeing them first hand.  There are so many gorgeous places on this resort !!!

I also met with the DJ from Irie Jams (Damane) he was awesome too - so we're definitely hiring him. Gotta decide later if I want to upgrade the package to add an MC and some up-lighting on the pillars of the Blue Lagoon.

I'm looking into photography now. Our Toronto photographers bailed on us unexpectedly, just before we signed the deal, so now I'm on the hunt again! While I was at the wedding office in JA, I saw a little album from TRUE COLOURS photography.  Just googled them and I think I really like their stuff. Have any of you used them?  If so, what were your honest opinions of the photos you got?

Also - please please please vote for my fiance and I! We only have three more days to vote daily , to help me win the wedding dress of my dreams from Kleinfeld's in NYC !!!  Thanks ladies!!

PS.... the wedding planners there are swamped right now. But if you wait till June (rainy season begins) they should have more time on their hands. Good luck!

PPS.... as for construction, I dont think this is gonna be a big deal whenever they begin. The resort is MASSIVE. So I doubt the construction will be noticable at all.

We are getting married May 2 2013! We are doing a 4pm beach wedding and so far everything else is up in the air. Does anyone know what the Poseidon looks like? Anyone doing their reception there? We are contemplating the 2 venues but have no clue about the Poseidon.

Its soo private on sunset cove beach and has amazing sunset views! Can't wait! the resort sent me some photos I can pass along if you like! maybe DM your email?

Hello ladies!

I'm considering Grande Palladium for our wedding location... just got engaged but I'm super excited to start planning.

I have one big question...

In these packages, is the reception included??  I'm a rookie... help!  Or is it an extra fee?

Congrats!!! I'm excited about our big day there and ive found the planning to be fun!

There is an extra fee! We are paying $45 per person for the reception, and then there is the cost of an ipod stand or DJ and entertainment! what ever you decide to do!

Courtbestbride-if you could pass on photos of the Poseidon that would be awesome! angebernard@hotmail.com

I have already booked the Blue Lagoon but may be able to change it if I change my mind I suppose?

I heard the Poseidon had amazing sunsets, but thats all I heard. I do love the look of the Blue Lagoon.

Are you bringing any extra decorations with you? Or just going with what the resort does? When is your date?

Thanks so much!

hi ladies! From my perspective as a photographer (and having planned my own destination wedding and hiring 3 photographers lol) I would certainly agree photos are the most important and if you must resort to a hotel photographer, to do your research.. :-/ And don't worry about paying for an outside photographer with additional expenses on top of it all, since some like myself, will include all of that in your package. Also, since I am always a paying a guest at whatever resort my couples choose, they have not had to deal with paying additional outside vendor fees (they are making more money by having me as a guest anyway!)

My most recent destination wedding from last month in Punta Cana just made it up on Style Me Pretty, so check it out :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
