2013 Paradisus Palma Real

Recommended Posts

Erica -

In Massachusetts, you have to wait a couple of days after you request a marriage license to actually pick it up. From what I understand, the resort will also ask you for a copy of your marriage license, so it's best to do the legal stuff like a month or so out so you have time to pick up your marriage license. We got our marriage license in Peabody, MA and they were very helpful and made sure to give us extra copies of the certificate so we had one to give to the resort. :) Hope that helps!

LL17- do you have pictures of Olympus Terrace? What about Gabi Terrace? We are getting married at the Jesus Maestro Church but still need a cocktail hour space and a reception space. Bianca sent me a package of locations but it doesn't say anything about paying the $9,000 privatization fee for using the Gabi Beach Restaurant as a location. It makes it seem like you can play music and have a reception there and its gorgeous- but I think you have to pay the $9,000 fee to use it for a wedding- which we clearly would not do lol.

Hi Erica. I will be getting married at the paradisus Palma real on April 26th 2013, just one day before you! I literally booked my date today. Did you already book your flights? Flights are really expensive from nj right now... Like 700 bucks per person. I am a bit worried about guests being able to swing that. Suzanne

Hi All,

Thanks for the suggestions. EV Thanks a bunch.

I emailed paradisus and am now in contact with Marylin Cairo who is helping me plan my January trip. We are going to try to do the Love at First site and see if it is going to be the place for our wedding.

What is the difference between staying at the Paradisus Punta Cana and the Paradisus Palma Real?

If you pick a certain package do you have to go with the colors given. Forexample, if you choose AQUA do you have to have aqua table clothes and decor? I am just curious.

How much would it be to add on certain things to your package like:

A reception at the Gabi?

a welcome dinner?

A DJ? Fire Show?

I read in the package that they play recorded musich during the ceremony. Do they have the option for you to hire someone to play during the ceremony?

Thank you all for all of your feedback and great tips.

:)

 Angel

Hi EVknowsitall - I have pics of the Olympus terrace! PM me your email address and I'll send some over to you. We chose the Olympus terrace bc you can still see the beach from there and it is beautiful right by the pool. When I was there, I saw a reception at Gabi Beach and while it was absolutely stunning, I think that any of the other sites are just as nice without $9000! Lol we are doing our cocktail hour at Plaza Colonial which is the courtyard by the fountains. You can opt to do both cocktail and reception at the Olympus terrace but we thought it would be fun to mix it up! Let me know if you want me to send pics of plaza colonial as well :)

LL17- please send me pics of Olympus Terrace as well, or perhaps you can post them here? I am getting married at PPRL in July 2013 and am very excited by apprehensive about what it all looks like in person. We reserved teh Gazebo for ceremony and cocktail hour, and the Terrace for the reception. I hope it wont be too hot to have guest outdoors the whole time.

LL- i cant believe you are in peabody! i am in swampscott!

Suzanne- we have not booked our flights yet... I have been watching kayak.com to see if they will go up or down. They have stayed similar- about 450 from boston. I am hoping they will go down more because I flew from boston in december and paid 350! Just an fyi too if you are planning to fly jet blue they do not have a closet to store your wedding on flight so they suggested either checking it, shipping it, or buying an extra seat. For me, thats a deal breaker so I am looking at other airlines!

Hello Ladies,

Can any past bride or anyone who has visited the resort tell me if top shelf/international alcohol is part of the all inclusive for everyone or is this a perk for someone staying at the Reserve or Royal Service??

Also, do guests that stay at The Reserve have access to all the restaurants and pools or are they limited to just the ones in the Reserve?

Thank you so much!

-Keila

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
