2013 Paradisus Palma Real

Recommended Posts

Hi Angel,

I'm sorry to hear that. My fiance and I had similar problems. I almost forfeited my deposit to go with another resort because I didn't trust that the Miami office would book my wedding. They lost my information once and we had to re-send all of our contract information, they lied to us about our group contract etc. I've talk about it in earlier posts on this thread.

You can book your wedding with Theresa who works directly with the resort. You are choosing one of the best resorts in the Caribbean so you deserve the best service. I am finally getting the service I deserve with a person with years in the business.

Good luck.

I'm new to the site and having the wedding in November 2013. I have a question about the special room rates, at $180.00 per person, what is the total amount including taxes and other charges?

Thanks!

Deanna

Hi Deanna,

You should clarify with your travel agent if there are extra taxes and other charges. My FI and I also secured the $180 pp/pn rate with our travel agent. For us, in order to get that rate our guests have to stay at least 3 nights. The $180 pp/pn rate should include ALL taxes and fees (e.g. for 3 nights a guest pays $540 and that's it). For us the $180 pp/pn even includes transfers to and from the airport. Our travel agent offers trip protection for an additional $65--but that is optional.

Thank you!

Hey Katie- My wedding is on July 5th and I am flying down the morning of the third. We arranged it this way for several reasons- don't laugh at me but here they are:

1) I did not want to bake in the sun too many days before my wedding and be a sunburned bride.

2) My body reacts to travel so I didn't want to be sick before or on the wedding.

3) We figured the planning call would arrange most of the info and we would only need to meet coordinators a day or two before the wedding.

4) I'd rather be a worried nutcase bride to be for a small window of time and then enjoy the rest of my days at the resort with my friends and family. I know before my wedding I am going to be a basket case. Why prolong the agony?

5) I want to peacefully enjoy amenities like unlimited drinks and food- and I'm afraid to do it before and be bloated in my dress.

Most of my reasons as you can see, are somewhat shallow haha but hey- they are valid issues of concern for me. I want to live the moment and if we are there too many days before, after the wedding we just go home. I would prefer to front load the wedding and celebrate all week long! LOL

I want some more ideas too:)bunny.gif

I checked your board out. It's very earthy chic. It looks ethereal. I have a board as well haha but mine is all over the place. I had separate boards for my bridesmaids, but here's my board:

I love your board--the colors are great. I love the fashion. I am also wearing a different reception gown.

I think I'm just milking my wedding for everything its worth- I mean- I took a second job to help pay for the expenses so I think I will milk all I want. I plan to wear the second dress after the reception for the after party- but who knows how I will feel there. I have heard other brides say they wanted to take their dress off right after the church ceremony because they were so hot. I love my dress but it really isn't meant for a destination wedding. But gosh darn it- I am going to rock it as long as I can.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
