Angelnjewels meeee! I am less than a month away from my wedding. How far are you?
Hi Katherine2go, wow less than a month... how exciting!!!! I have 4 months to go and have my planning call next month. Ugh I am so nervous.... I hope that All turns out well for you. I have heard amazing things. please post pictures and a review if possible when you return. :) What are some of the things that you have chosen? How many people are attending? My fiancé and I have about 60 ppl attending which is more than we ever expected. We chose the Tailormade and also added some things as the fire dancers, the trio and dj etc. How are you feeling now that you are only less than a month away! :)

I was nervous about the planning call because it was a reminder that the wedding was coming soon. But it turned out great! Bianca and Lara are flexible. For example, i am still unsure about the linen colors, so they are letting me confirm that detail when I get to PPR. I am feeling sooo nervous. I had a dream last night that the on site coordinator met me for the first time 30 minutes before the wedding. The flowers were horrible, we could not find my fiance... Everything was a mess. Thankfully it was just a dream :). I chose the Allure package, and added a lot of decor things: gazebo corsages, beaded curtain, 5 bouquets and 5 bout. for bridal party, centerpieces, reception flowers. We are flying in a DJ and photographers. I am also treating my girls to unlimited mimosas and massages the day before the wedding. I will most definitely post pictures and a review! I have 68 confirmed. I was not expecting so many! Are you staying at PPR for your honeymoon?

Congratulations!!!! We did go with the symbolic but tried to make it as unique as possible. (We had a civil ceremony several weeks before, but told absolutely no one. When family and friends asked when or if we were already married, we told them that we weren't telling so that the focus would stay on our PPR wedding.)

We used our own script for the symbolic ceremony including the minister's part. (After all, since it's symbolic- you can say whatever you want.) And if you have a family member or friend that you would like to perform the ceremony, it's always an option. Our programs were fans with the ceremony on one side and trivia about the bride and groom on the other. (Etsy.com is great for ideas, but the many of the products you can make yourself for less.)

We had a love poem read to the guests by one of my gfs before the ceremony started (even before the groom entered). During the ceremony, our parents read 1st Corinthians 13:4-13 together. We read our own vows and had a sand ceremony. Because I have a son, we chose words that incorporated him into the ceremony as well.

****Almost forgot- Confirm that there is a steamer available for your dress!!!! (When we had our meeting upon arrival at the resort, I was informed that there was no steamer on the property. WTH??? My sister was calling frantically to get one of our other guests to bring one with them, but fortunately Mariela found one from somewhere. (I did not ask and did not care as long as they found one.)

Haha I had to chase them down for the steamer too. It exists, although my dress didn't need it, but my husbands suit did. I think the dresses hold up far better than the suits surprisingly. The steamer was in the romance department office, so I'm surprised they told you there wasn't one.

Good Morning Ladies,

I am angelnjewels but with this whole change i could not get into my old account so i had to create a new one. Anyway, I hope all is well. I am 2 1/2 months away and i am super excited and overwhelmed at the same time.

It is actually pretty crazy.

Question about the DJ: Do they play every song you place on the list? And do you think they could do a mix between two songs. My fiance and i want to dance a slow song and then change it to a fast song...something like a mix for our first dance.

Thank you,

Hey there

any paradisus palma real 2013 brides out there? Post here. I am getting married there in April of next year. Has anyone visited there recently?

Hello Erica, your date is around the corner, must be busy!!
I'm getting married in November. Tell me, what kind of wedding your going to have? Mine is religious at Jesus Maestro Parish. Well, I'm having a hard time trying to save transporting to the church.
For the other hand, I chose Fantasy package, and Bianca, the wedding planner can´t send me photos of the basic deco and services of the pakage.

Do you had any luck with that?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
