2013 Paradisus Palma Real

Recommended Posts

Hi Erica-  I am getting married there 4/12/2013.  I just started looking into the photographer and music.  She didnt mention the $1,000 charge for an outside photographer when she suggested Arrecife Studio .. I am going to email her and clarify.

I am working with Lara and Veronica and so far they have been great.  I have just been sending pics from the suggested photographers facebook page and telling her what I like.

I will let you know if i hear back from her about the photographer.  Also, if you hear anything else let me know as i will keep you posted.

What day are you getting married..hopefully they didnt double book us!!

Hi Erica,

Congrats!!!  We just got back our confirmation today and our wedding is all set for July 19th, 2013.  We originally wanted the 20th which they said was available and when we sent the paperwork back it was no longer available for a beach ceremony.   So ladies I wouldn't put it off.

Erica are you using a travel agent? which package did you pick for your wedding?  We are going through a travel agent so we don't have the hassle of making accomodations and blocking rooms for guests.  Our travel agent matched the rates that paradisus gave us so that worked out.  I don't think my contract had the room rates in them though.  The rates they gave were only good through August.  We are sending our save the dates out this weekend because of that and to give people plenty of time if they are interested.

I am so excited to have found this website.  I have gotten so many inspirations and great ideas on here.  I don't think I would have known were to start.

Anyway, congrats again and thanks for starting this thread!

Hey Kelly

Congrats to you as well!!! We are going with the aqua package and getting married on April 27, 2013! I can not wait!! We are not using a travel agent and I did reserve the group block. You had to do a deposit for a hundred bucks per room reserved. I am hoping that this way too all our guests will be in the same building. Cant wait to hear about everyone details!!

Hi all!

I will be getting married at PPR on June 28th, 2013! Very excited and a little overwhelmed with all the planning.

I was wondering if someone could tell me what happens to the money you deposit in order to get the room block???

Can anyone recommend a good TA that works well with PPR and was able to get good flight prices?

Thanks!!!

Hi Ladies!

My fiancee and I are looking at having our wedding at PPR in May 2013! We are planning a trip in September to tour the resort and see the different options we have. I have been emailing Jessica and she's been helpful. I so appreciate all of the posts and pictures! Does anyone know the prices for upgrades (like DJ, dance floor, etc)? Just curious if there is a price list or if I have to get quotes from Jessica. Thanks!! :)

LL117-If you want to send me a personal message with your email address, i can email you a grid of pricing. I believe if I remember off the dj is 225/h and you must have him for at 3 hours.

Luza- I believe your deposit goes toward either your own hotel stay or toward your actual wedding once all the rooms are booked! I havent found a travel agent yet but will probably use someone local!

HI All,

I am interested in getting married at the Palma Real, but want to know how the coordinators on site are? I am pondering getting a state side wedding planner, but if the planners provided by the resort are great, I do not want to incur that extra expense. Our anticipated date is October 19th, 2013 :)

All the info you can provide is extremely helpful.

Hello beauiful brides,

I just got engaged July 1!!! ! Woo hoo! We are planning our wedding for November 2013 and are torn between this resort and Dreams Palm Beach...since the wedding is over a year in advance, my travel agent can't give me group rates or have the flight schedules til dec/jan 2013. It's killing me to not be able to set a date and I'm assuming since this is a beautiful and luxurious resort that dates get booked fast...so my question is, should I contact a wedding coordinator myself and book a date before my travel agent knows the details or wait until dec/jan for the flight schedule? And does anyone know how much the deposit is? Any help from brides who have been married there or are still planning the wedding would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks a bunch ladies :)

Hello beautiful brides,

I just got engaged this past July 1!!! My fiancee and i are torn between this resort and Dreams Palm Beach. We are planning to have our wedding in November 2013. My travel agent can't give us group rates/flight schedules until dec/january since its over a year in advance. Do you ladies suggest that I contact the wedding coordinator at the resort and book a date (I'm assuming they get booked fast) before my travel agent knows the details or should I just wait it out? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) Also if anyone has been to Dreams Palm Beach and wants to give me a review that would be awesome too!

Thanks a bunch ladies!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
