Sunset da Mona Lisa - great management

I have read a number of posts here regarding dissatisfactions about the management in different wedding locationsfrom many brides-to-be in this forum. I thought I would share the great experience I have with the management at Sunset da Mona Lisa and hopefully this will help others in choosing their wedding venue. I have looked at many venues prior to choosing Sunset da Mona Lisa and I can honestly say that one factor which played a huge role in our decision to go with Sunset is its outstanding management.

The sales manager, Emma, used to be a wedding coordinator at Palmilla and now works for Sunset. Right from the beginning she was very accomodating to me. She was very kind, listened to my needs, answered a lot of e-mails promptly. Since she used to be a wedding coordinator herself she knew a lot of vendors and recommended musicians, wedding coordinators, florists, officiant-- mostly the best in the business in Cabo. When I didn't have a WC yet, I would e-mail Emma and she would answer many of my questions which was really the job of a WC. Everything that we agreed upon was stated in a contract and she willingly revised it a few times so it would fit our needs. JUst to give you an example of how detailed our contract is, it even stated that the construction next door would stop during our wedding.

I know we are not married yet and I will be able to give a more thorough review of all our vendors after the wedding. But I am confident this early that we will have a beautiful wedding because we are in good hands with the management at Sunset da Mona Lisa.

Hi Amanda! I hope you can book it too! We only have a few guests (29 adults and 10 kids). We are booking the Salon which is the private room at Sunset da Mona Lisa. If you have a lot of guests I would suggest you do a buyout. And when you speak to Emma can you please say hello to her from me? She would remember a Jessica! THANK YOU in advance!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
