Rose Hall Great House

Recommended Posts

I am working with O'Neisha Brown, who is with Rose Hall.  She has been absolutely fantastic.

She has helped us to get some packages of things (like the ceremony programs) to them because we are doing a cruise wedding.

I cannot recommend her enough she has been an absolute darling.

If you are getting married at a Rose Hall Venue (the gazebo, the beach on the golf course, the aqueduct, or the great house) I would definitely recommend working with her. You'll be working directly with Rose Hall Development, who manages all of Rose Hall venues, and makes things much simpler.

I do already have a quote from Almarie at Tropical Weddings Jamaica for just the ceremony at the Aqueducts, but am trying to figure out if I want the reception at the Great House or back at the Iberostar. Does anyone already have price quotes or any type of information about what is available for a reception at the Great House (food, music, etc)? We are thinking we will have between 25-50 guests. Thanks in advance for any input, this site has been such a great source of information. : )

She has been a godsend to me trying to plan my cruise wedding, the ceremony at Rose Hall (the gazebo on the golf courses).

While I have had a hard time finding people on this site that have had weddings there I did find this wedding photography website.  They seem to have done a few weddings at the Rose Hall House/aqueducts and the pictures look really pretty.  It gave me a better idea of what to expect.  And after looking at their wedding pictures, make me 100% sure I do not want a wedding at Iberostar - just because of the ceremony locations they offer!

My wedding is a week away!  We are having it on the golf course at Rose Hall, there is a very pretty gazebo overlooking the water with a perfect breeze which is perfect with the heat.

I'll let you guys know how it went!  So far though, I am really happy with the attention to detail and service. Everybody has been extremely helpful and I feel relaxed and like everything is in order.

Does anyone happen to have any pics of the gazebo at all? We have booked to have our ceremony on the beach front but on our visit we were only able to catch a glimpse of the aqueducts - our visiting fell a day after the hurricane last October so we were confined to a pick up truck which kept getting stuck in the waterlogged grass! I'm trying to figure whether the gazebo, beach and aqueducts are close to each other as well as decking whether the beach front or gazebo would be the best choice for our ceremony. Andreann did you have a local minister perform your ceremony and if so how was he? I had initially begun planning through Rose Hall directly but in the space of abouts six months they had changed wedding coordinators three times which concerned me! I've now gone with a local planner who has been fantastic!

Hi Aunje Our good friend did the paperwork ato become a minister and we'll also file legal docs in city hall back home. Its easier than going through Jamaican system, since we are not in for more than 6 hours from cruise. Three days away! I will send you pics of Gazebo as soon as I can. Warning with beach front, you might not be able to do ceremony at certain times because of golf course.... For us the gazebo was best because its cooler than other areas but Ill give you more details next week!

Ladies If you are still trying to decide what venue to use.... Without a doubt, contact O'Neisha Brown at Rose Hall Development. We had our ceremony at the Gazebo in Cinnamon Hill Golf Course and it was AMAZING. She had everything perfectly coordinated. My bouquet was gorgeous, the canopy even more beautiful than the inspiration images I sent. They set up everything beautifully. Guests were greeted with coconut water on ice, and afterwards we had a toast with witches brew, a citrusy rum sparkling punch that was delicious. Planning through Rose Hall was completely stress free, all I did was send the pictures of what I wanted, send the song list and a copy of ceremony script, send the starfish to hang on chairs, and they handled everything wonderfully. The pianist was able to play a mix of songs from claire de lune by Debussy to the Beatles' places I remember. I sent them links to youtube versions that I liked and he nailed it. I cannot speak more highly of the experience. I was mentally prepared for setbacks and not having things turn out exactly as I wanted but I was wrong... Everything came out perfect. 400 400 400 400[/img]

Hi ladies, reading this has been so inspiring, I am looking for a venue that would do a Sunday wedding. Most resorts wont do a sunday.i i really dont want o change the date i have in mind because its so significant . I saw the web site for Rose hall locations but am so nervous about out side vendors. Your posts have put me at ease a bit. Can you share any more detailed info of the planning process , contacts and cost?? I'm needing to book ASAP and would prefer a beach location although am open to the aqueducts. It looks so much more private as well. What about transportation to the locations fom your resorts? And food? Any info would help, I'm so behind and everyone is frustrated

Help:)  We just got back from doing a site visit at the Iberostar Grand and Suites, and while we LOVED the resort and cannot wait for our family and friends to stay there for our April Wedding...we have decised to move our actual wedding to the Rose Hall Great House.  It just has sooo much more charater and intimacy, than anywhere else we found.  We met O'Neisha and she has been great...but I would really appreciate any pictures, information and insight from people who hve gotten married there.  We are going to have our reception there are well, so any information regarding catering, cake, flowers, set-up...would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Are there any rose hall great house brides? I'm looking into a date 2017, I know I'm early but I'm trying to get an idea of how your planning is going and how it went if you already had your wedding there. Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
