Rose Hall Great House

Recommended Posts

We finally have a venue!  I'm so excited!  Has anyone else been married or had a reception at Rose Hall Great House?  If so, I would love to hear more about your experience, see photos, etc.

Hi autyb,

Congrats on your engagement and securing your venue!

I haven't had my wedding/ceremony at Rose Hall Great House, but I have booked for July 2013 so am equally interested to hear whether any other brides have and what their experiences were.

Are you having both your ceremony and reception at the Great House?

When are you getting married?

We are also looking at the Rose Hall property for our wedding ceremony and reception.  Are you ladies staying at the Hilton property or somewhere else?  I think we are going to end up having our guests/ourselves stay at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites and Grand and do an off-site wedding at Rose Hall.  I love the aqueducts and the Great House.

While I have had a hard time finding people on this site that have had weddings there I did find this wedding photography website.  They seem to have done a few weddings at the Rose Hall House/aqueducts and the pictures look really pretty.  It gave me a better idea of what to expect.  And after looking at their wedding pictures, make me 100% sure I do not want a wedding at Iberostar - just because of the ceremony locations they offer!

Hi, Aunje and Allie!

So great to hear from you.  I am having my ceremony at the aqueduct and reception at the Great House on November 10, 2012.  I'm very excited about the wedding; however, coordinating all of the little pieces can be a bit cumbersome.  At this point, I really need a good coordinator that I can trust...at least for the day of.  The problem is that I haven't found anyone that I trust and I'm afraid of all the moving parts falling through the cracks.

I'm considering asking all of my guests to stay at the Hilton, although I have not yet secured a contract.

I'll keep you posted!

Autumn

Hey ladies, You might find some reviews about this venue in the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites or Beach review section. I think there may be about 2 of them. They had their wedding at Rose Hall Great House and their receptions and Iberostar. Good luck!

Hi Ladies,

We are intending to stay at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites.  I had originally reserved my wedding date there too but that was before I'd laid eyes on the Rose Hall Development! Budget permitting, we are hoping to have our ceremony at the beach, photo's at the aqueduct and reception at the Great House - This may change when we visit later this year but I very much doubt it.  I have been dealing with The development directly and they have kindly offered discounted rates at the Hilton and Iberostar hotels..perhaps it might be an idea to get in touch with them?

Being in the UK it is tricky trying to coordinate all the elements, but I'm trying to pace myself and do as much leg work as possible...fingers crossed it all goes to plan!

My numbers seem to be increasing by the day too - I'm part pleased and part afraid lol!!

Have you ladies found it is working out to be a budget friendly location?

I am also considering a staying at Iberoatar, ceremony and mini reception at aqueducts then pics at aqueducts and Rose Hall House and back to resort for dinner and partying. Does any one know how far the Rose House is from the aqueducts? I'm not sure how feasible my idea is? I'm also trying to find a wedding coordinator to make this all come together. I have contacted Almarie from Tropical Weddings Jamaica and am leaning towards booking her but wanted to see if anyone else had any recommendations. ...I'm also looking for a good Travel Agency. Any advice will be sooo appreciated!

I went onto Google Maps and it said the journey by car from Iberostar Rose Hall Suites to Rose Hall Resort was 8 minutes!

That would be ideal I think..also, should save a great deal if laying on transport for your guests I would imagine.

I hope that helps Laura 2013?

Next task for me is to find the right photographer...if anyone is having their wedding either side of 26th July 2013 and wanted to share vendors do get in touch lol!undefined

Thanks Aunje, I should have thought to look it up! 8 mins is perfect, hopefully now I can find a WC to assist with making it happen.

As for a photographer, I would love to share one if I was gettting married in July. We are hoping for March 23, 2013. Stacey Clarke is our top candidate for a photographer at this point.

Right now I am also considering having my ceremony at the Aqueducts and maybe the reception at the Rose Hall Great House with a buffet and open bar. I have emailed some Wedding Coordinators for price quotes, but am getting really impatient-I just want to make a decision already lol! I do already have a quote from Almarie at Tropical Weddings Jamaica for just the ceremony at the Aqueducts, but am trying to figure out if I want the reception at the Great House or back at the Iberostar. Does anyone already have price quotes or any type of information about what is available for a reception at the Great House (food, music, etc)? We are thinking we will have between 25-50 guests. Thanks in advance for any input, this site has been such a great source of information. : )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
