Beach Palace/Palace Resorts Booking

Recommended Posts

Hi All, I'm new to Best Destination Wedding and this is my first post!

After all my research I've decided on the Beach Palace for our DW. I'm in the process of talking with them to book the date in April 2013. I'm supposed to pay half of the ceremony fee to reserve our date/time, but they're telling me that they can't reserve the location until 3 months before the wedding. Isn't that the whole reason for a deposit?? I picked the Beach Palace for the Sky Terrace location on the property! Have any other brides had any issues with this or is that their standard policy and everything works out fine??

I'm a May 24 2013 BP bride. Sooo today they told me all I had to leave was a deposit for one night in order to reserve the date and get a group booking code for my invites...which i did, via email, not fax, hope that is ok? Now on this blog and online people are are saying you need to pay in full and sign a group contract with room blocks to get a booking code?? anyone run into this problem. I also do not feel comfortable not knowing where my ceremony and reception will be. I want both to be on the sky terrace. 3 months before is iffy and if I do not get what I want i will freak!!! Any suggestions?

Hi everyone!

great website, very informative and helpful.

Beach Palace seems like the perfect location for Destination Brides that are wanting something beautiful, modern  and costimizable.

Desintation weddings seem like the way to go, you get a week instead of a day and can share the excitement with all your close friends and family! although some beach weddings can be incrediably tacky,  ( white plastic arch, with wedding pictures of vows being exchanged men in there banana hammocks in the background...True story.)  These resorts seem like the way to go!

I was hoping someone would be able to answer these couple questions:

In terms of your guest, We have very mixed financial situation. Starving students, Newly Married, People with high expectations, ect.

I feel badly about making my mixed guest pay over 15000, 7 nights, taxes in,

I know that seems like alot, well crazy. but i have seen other threads about people's guests going for slightly over that price.

I feel the prices really vary at the resort. 1000, 2000 doller differences between one week to the next. Crazyyyy

I think we would have a good number of guests. Is there big group discounts? We would be flying from Ontario.

THANKYOU LADIES!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
