Hi Ladies!!  I am getting married at Moon Palace January 17th, 2014.  I am already overwhelmed!  Very overwhelmed with the reviews that I have read from 2012.  Brides getting married within the next few months, have you been able to lock your ceremony and reception location?  The location is what is stressing me out.  I do not want to wait until I get there to secure my location or have it changed on me at the last minute.  Anyone having their reception at the Caribbean Terrace?  I really want my reception there, but it isn't private so I don't know if that means we have to share the bar with other guests outside the wedding?  Anyone have information on this location?

Here is a link to the private event locations. Hope this is helpful to anyone curious about the various locations!

Chose to go with Lily and Zuniga, she sent us much more information and was more welcoming than the other vendor. We have confirmed all with her. We are having a pale pink theme costing 800 plus usd for simple lighting and decoration to two tables - ouch. Hope it is lovely. Have you got the 100 pages plus catalogue from Lily?

Hey again,

Yep ive got the catalogue and I want everythng lol.  What time are you getting married?  We are at 3pm and im unsure what time i would want the events to finish xx

Hi ladystardust. Ha - I want everything too! We are going for pale pink theme - have ordered pink macacas for the table settings - I was happy with $8 each. We are getting married at 4.00 then cocktail hour at approx 5.00 then from 6.00-8.00 reception after that perhaps go to the lobby. What are your plans?

Hi Ldondon84 we are referring to the brochure/catalogue we received from Lily at Zuniga it has lots of ideas, pictures and costs of items you can hire or purchase. If you would like it contact Lily or send me a personal message with your email address I will then forward it to you. Have you a colour scheme in mind? If you do tell Lily and she will send seperate pictures. I am going for pink and was told that they didn't do much in pink - however I was more than happy with what was available.

We were at the caribbean terrace while a reception was going on one night- it is not private- other patrons of the resort can still use the bar during your reception. They make sure no one enters your reception or goes into the section of the bar that "belongs to you" but that is it.  The grand section isn't very busy typically so you shouldn't be "sharing the bar" with more than about 20 people.

Hope this helps! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
