Hey everyone ! My fiance and I are getting married at Paradisus Palma Real in Punta cana in August of this year, we have decided to do the ceremony on the beach and possibly cokctail hr too, but havent decided where to do the reception part! We didnt know it was an extra cost for the gabi beach or certain areas and out of the areas that are included at no cost we cant decide between the beach, olympic terrace, or any other ideas? Photos WOULD REALLLY HELP!!!!

How did you get ur stuff down ? ur dress? did u use arrecife photography? they seem to be really nice i am friends with them on facebook and the pictures seem decent for their prices but if any one has any ideas? We are tryin to stay under 15k but we have around 80 people attending so far I would prob say about ten more coming.  We have been dealing with Lauren and are soon do for our Power planning call? SHould i Have anything specific ready for this I feel very lost and I am starting to get worried any help would be appreciated? also itinerarys? welcome bags? doing dinner for such large groups/ rehersal/welcome dinner? and THE CAKE THE CAKE!!!! where can i find a GOOD decent cake? because the one the hotel supplies seems so small and they want $10  PERSON TO UPGRADE thats insane half the time ppl barely eat dessert!!

Also the DJ they are recommending DJ MANNIA however my fiance and I are very pciky with our DJs we love to go clubbing and wants somebody that mixes his music very very well, its gonna be a colombian( my side) italian irsiH(his side) party so we need a good mix of music with alot of house and good beats involved please help!! thanks!!

I'm getting married in Punta Cana as well, however I'll be at a different resort. We were also recomended DJ Mania. He is apparently very good at keeping the party going, you can also give him a song list. And I've heard he has lots of upgrades such as lights and balloons. He sounds good, I'm just hesitant over his price...

For Starters, CONGRATS on your engagement and upcoming wedding. My fiancé and I are getting married at Paradisus Palma Real in less than two months. YIKES {talk about nervous}! We selected the Garden to get married at and the Olympus terrace, as the idea and look alone gave enough without us having to go crazy with spending tons of money to decorate that site. Honestly, the prices for some of the décor was outrageous and we refused to get ripped off, so weâ€ve decided to bring our own accents for the resort to set up. I believe they charge a $50.00 set up fee, which is cheaper than paying them for some of the options they have. NOT WORTH IT! ********THE PICTURES WOULD NOT ATTACH. JUST EMAIL ME AND I WILL FORWARD THEM TO YOU. We are using the brokerage firm that the Romance team suggested, only b/c it seems like UPS and other carrier packages have to go thru a different process and are often left at some holding place at the airport {I read this someplace}. Since we do not want to chance our belongings getting lost, weâ€d rather ship and be comfortable with the notion that they have received it before we leave New Jersey. We are carrying our wedding attire onto the flight with us, as carry-on. The thought of shipping or asking someone else to do so is tooooo stressful and worrisome. I suggest you do the same and have your bridesmaids to do the same, especially since airlines lose luggage everyday. Please note, the resort does not {which I do not understand} have a steamer for wedding dresses. Not even in the bridal suite, to which is a RIP OFF. Its $300 with sparkling wine and fruit included. I was going to rent this suite, until I learned nothing came with it, and not all my bridesmaids {5} would be able to fit. I mean you would think for the money it would be sizable enough like one of their rooms. NOT! With respect to the photography, we are using Arrecife for pictures and videography. If you do not want to use them, if you google “I got married at Paradisus Palma Real†and select images, youâ€ll see other couples who used other photographers. However, I must admit the pictures from the others are no different than the resort. Actually the resort is better b/c of the amount of access they have throughout the entire resort. I think the prices are okay too, but maybe you may discover different. If you have 10 or more rooms book, the resort will host a welcome cocktail party, on the date of your choice for free. They allow you to choose the location, which I think is about 3. We have about 30 people coming to our wedding, but afraid everyone will not be able to take advantage of the welcome cocktails b/c of the time of arrivals. Be sure to book air early b/c as I am experiencing with my guests, airfare from New Jersey is WICKED! Believe you me. Lauren is a sweetheart, she gets very busy but sheâ€s usually on point with her responses when she does respond. NO COMPLAINTS. CAKE CAKE CAKE. I asked the same question but b/c there are no bakeries in the Punta Cana area, the cost for a customized one is $1000. We ended up going with the butter cream, that it comes with and left it like that. We have the chill out chic package, so it came with it. They do charge to upgrade your cake to fondant, but no one really eats that type of cake b/c of the thickness/richness of it. Personally, we wanted our guests to be able to enjoy the cake, not look at it (LOL). MUSIC, Iâ€ve heard GREAT reviews about DJ Mania and we have decided to use him. We have been in contact with him and from reading other posts or speaking to other brides, he seem ON POINT. He sent us a sheet requesting a list of songs that we want to hear throughout the night. We are also bring house music cds b/c we love to dance so this should be FUN. Any more questions, email me at [email protected]

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
