Question: Any tips for taking Cenote TTD Pictures?

Hello fellow BDW brides (and grooms)!

 

I am bringing down my own photographer from Canada to Cancun and I have seen some beautiful Cenote pictures and beach pictures on here that we would like to create our very own! I had a few questions that maybe you all can help me with.

 

If we wanted to do Cenote pictures, WHERE would be the best place to go and how much would it cost? Someone told me that we had to be prepared to pay anywhere from $400-$500 is we are doing bride and groom pics! Yikes! Should I hide my dress when I do in and slip it on once I'm in to make is less? Any help would be great.

 

Also we will be staying at the Gran Caribe Real Cancun resort so where would be the best place to go from there for Cenote pics? They have a nice beach so we just might do it there... but would really love to do some cenote shots but don't know if we would want to pay a few bills just to do that!

 

I hope you guys can help us out! We just want some cool TTD pictures!

Just stumbled upon this and I figured you may still be looking for information.

 

As far as I know, you just have to pay a fee for entering the land or the park to access the cenote. Once you are in there you can do whatever you want. This website has a list of all the cenotes near Cancun http://docancun.com/cenotes.htm

 

The $400 or so price would be to use a local photographer to take the pictures, but if you are bringing your own photographer, then you don't have to pay that. Just make sure they have an underwater camera and extra lighting

Are you still flying in your photographer or have you thought about getting someone local?

yes we are flying in our own...he's a friend so it works out...that was one of the first things we booked.

Oh okay then yeah look into what cenotes photographers tend to use and I say go and see what happens. Worse comes to worse, you can have a photo session at Tulum and then TTD at the beach there
