My Pet Fat - Such a Great Motivation!!!

So, I thought I would share with yall one of my latest tricks that seems to keep me in line and motivated.

A few years ago I purchased My Pet Fat, and it's awesome. It's a 1lb replica of 3,500 calories (which equals one pound of fat), and it's anatomically correct. So if you look at the blob, that's exactly what a pound of fat looks like. It's just disgusting!!! And so if I think about that cheeseburger or brownie and a few beers and some pasta, etc throughout the week, that's what I would add to my body. Gross. Totally totally gross.

So the other day I had a genius idea to put My Pet Fat on top of my alarm clock so that every morning when I roll over and hit snooze, I see that 1lb of fat telling me to get my butt out of bed and workout! It totally works!

It's also nice to visualize weight loss. I know sometimes we're disappointed in a 2 pound loss, etc but looking at that blob makes me realize that at least it's not part of my anymore!

So I thought this might give those looking for motivation something different to look at. Print the picture out and put it on your fridge, on the treadmill, next to your alarm clock, or go out and buy your own. It was worth it to me, and it's totally working.

Oh, and check out the 5lb Pet, it's just disgusting, so that's a great one to gauge weight loss as well...think about the fact that if you lose 5 pounds, you've removed that blob from your body...entirely!

Enjoy!

Thanks for posting that, that gets me motivated! As I'm eating a handful of caramel corn...which by the way Shelly is your fault! You posted that popcorn bar thread so I had to go out and get some caramel corn for an afternoon meeting snack. Everyone else appreciates it here though wink.gif

I know, I wanted the 5lb for effect, but was shocked at the prices...but the 1lb was worth it for me...I'm sure I've wasted $45 on nasty food before in my lifetime!

That is awesome! I love it. And I love how much it motivates you - hey, whatever it takes! Definitely a different perspective than counting calories!

Sometimes when I'm at the gym lifting 5 lb. weights I think about how liberating it would be to remove that amount of weight from my body. After 3 knee surgeries already, I think about how much extra stress it is running or walking around with that all day...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
