Dreams Palm Beach 2013 Brides

Recommended Posts

My wedding is at the end of Oct 2012.  Anyone else getting married during this time?  We are only having a total of 14 is it possible to just do a dinner in a specialty restaurant? Which one would you recommend? Is the table cloth included or would we need one bring one with us?  Does anyone know what day of the week and time the Resorts fire show is?  What are items that are must haves to be brought? We are trying to  keep this as simple and cheap as possible.

Hey girls,

So great to come across this site on here! We have our wedding booked for April 22nd, 2013! Seeing our wedding is under 6 months away, im starting to panic as we havent been in contact much with our wedding cordinator there (Johanna). We are having our ceremony at the wedding gazebo, and have no idea of our options for reception. I think we are going with the Dreams of Love wedding package. Has anyone else went with this package? Are any of the linens for the gazebo included in the package?
Thanks in advance!!

Below is the picture my wedding coordinator sent me for the included linens/ decor included for the gazebo ceremony. You can add flowers, different chairs, sashes/ bows, runners, etc. for a certain fee depending on what you want.

The choices for a reception are the beach, pool island ($250 fee) , or ballroom. We are getting married at DPB on 5/17/13 with a gazebo ceremony and pool island reception with the Dreams of Love Package we think, though we may just do the complimentary one and add on what we want. I believe you may be able to have a private dinner/ reception at one of the restaurants but I think there are limitations with that.

I have heard that the wedding coordinators will really be in touch the last 3 months before your wedding but before that it does take a while to hear back as they are so busy with other weddings. I have found that if I write out my questions in a numbered format I get a response much quicker- my wc just writes the answer right next to the question I wrote and it has been working well, I usually hear back within 7-10 days.

Good luck with all of your planning!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Chrissy, I can't find the pictures you attached to your post regarding the gazebo decor. Would you please repost or even if you can send it in a pm to me I would sooo much appreciate it. We are getting married on April 25th at the gazebo as well. Btw, if you haven't already decided,  HD photography has fantastic reviews and seem reasonably priced compared to others we've looked at. He seems to get all the 'right' moments on film.

Ya for some reason it hasn't been letting me post pictures on the forums. My computer just died with my pictures on it, I should get it back all fixed in a couple of weeks, I'll PM you the picture as soon as I get it back!

We ended up going with Caribbean Emotions for our photography who also gets great reviews- such a tough decision though!!

Have you (or anyone else) heard reviews/ feedback about the DJ through the resort itself? That is the next thing we are trying to decide on.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
