Hi Everyone,

I'm new here.  I just came across the site today and I am so glad that I did!!  There is so much information here, and it has all been helpful, especially the pictures.

My fiance and I are shooting for a June 8th wedding, and are leaning more towards Dreams Riviera Cancun, or Now Sapphire.  Does anyone else have any other options we should look at?  We definitely want something thats all inclusive and affordable.

I was also wondering if I am planning too far in advance.  I'm a planner by nature and have already pinned so many things to pinterest for my wedding and just basically planning it all.

Anyone have advice as to when to start sending out save the dates and other information?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks everyone!

- Bianca

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!!  I think the sooner you start planning the better!!  Those are both great resorts.  I will add a link to some weddings I photographed there that may help you get a better perspective.

Welcome!

We started planning our wedding about a year in advance.  So if you are meaning this June, you definetly are not planning to early.  We sent out our STDs pretty much as soon as we had our wedding date booked with the resort.  That gave our guests lots of time to start planning.

im going for a a 2013 wedding (march-may we are finding it hard to fix a date) and i initially thought i was planning too early...until i contacted a few places and they already have some reservations for next year!! its not like full of reservations yet of course, but there are other people booking super early so you have a definite advantage over people doing it with less time!

also by choosing and booking now...you dont have the stress of an entire year to worry about it!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
