I just got married there on the 13th... we were really worried about the photographer issue too. We mrt with him prior to the ceremony but I don't think it would have been much different if we hadn't. He was very professional and kind. We specifically told him we didn't want cheesy poses so we compromised and did his cheesy poses with some candids we were hoping for. He also took shots of anything I requested which was nice. We wound up buying the 36 photo package... it was tough but not too tough to narrow down... he shot about 550 photos so you have tons to pick from. You can also buy more photos for $20 each if you just can't narrow down exactly. Overall we had an awesome experience and loved our ceremony and reception location in the white gazebo by the reef terrace. We were pretty secluded. Didn't notice any passers by... probably too much excitement to notice :) I'd love to share more about our trip if anyone has questions. 400

For the reception we did the flame grilled shrimp, ceasar salad, and the mahi mahi with the fruit salsa and the pineapple dessert. All the food was AMAZING! And even though we chose a fish dish we were able to get chicken for those that did not like seafood...they were very good about making sure everyone enjoyed there meals.

For the rehearsal dinner we did the chicken with the lobster mousse which was probably my favorite over the Mahi Mahi--everyone LOVED it and it came with some awesome rice! I don't think you can go wrong!

If anyone wants photos of anything specific I will help you out if I have some, so just let me know. Also, if anyone has specific questions...again, I'd be happy to help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
