Hello everyone! I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself! My name is Melissa, and my fiance Joey and I are getting married at a Beaches resort in Negril, Jamaica in August of 2013.  We are within a few days of putting a deposit down on a block of rooms! More people have shown interest in going than I have ever thought would.  It's so exciting! Can't wait to really start planning!

Yeah, I think we might go with the Beautiful Beginnings package and then add additional items, like the arch and maybe some different flowers.  I'm thinking I can get at least 20 people.  I should be putting down a deposit on a block of 10 rooms here pretty quick, so hopefully everyone who said they'd like to go, will!  I liked Beaches Negril because Sandals is close so we can go there to get away if we want, as well as the other Beaches resort.  We have family/friends coming from all over the country, so our bachelor/bachelorette parties will have to be down there.  I like that we can be at different resorts so we don't run into each other.  Where else are you looking? Other all-inclusives?

Ahh.. So exciting!.. I've seen so many pictures and info on the Beaches Negril location, it gorgeous and seems to have everything you could possibly need.

I stumbled upon the Atlantis website and saw a video.. which took our destination search in a whole different direction.. We have fallen in love with the Atlantis resort and the Cloisters for our ceremony at the One and Only.. Atlantis: all the reviews I've read seem to mention how expensive the food is since its not all-inclusive. And I really hate to put that berdon on our guests, or have the fear that not many will show. And the Cloisters fee is 3500 just to be married on that site, its Gorgeous, but it seems to be a bit much.

Did you find other all-inclusive resorts that were comparable to the beaches resorts? My head is spinning with sooo many places to loook at.

Hi all, So Excited for you :) I am a new bride as well and we just booked with Sandals Negril for the wedding and we also have booked out families at Beached Sandy Bay. We are so excited but it all seems a bit crazy. I am having a hard time getting direct answers from the planner and I find it weird that we haven't signed a contract. Were you able to lock in a group rate for your guests? and I don't know if its just me but I'm finding a lot of hidden fee's. Like the resort set up fee of $250. Etc...Any Advice or suggestions would be great :) Happy Planning.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
