Now Jade 2012 Bride

Which package did you go with?? Did you just do item to item?? That seems awefully expensive.  IS there any option you recommend?? i'm debating about music as the cost is somewhat high for not being part of the divine package.  Does the guitarist only play for the wedding ceremony or at dinner??  Thanks if you happen to see this....Cortney =)

Hi Dana, are you using a package deal or are you going with individual prices??  I attempted that and became extremely expensive fast.  Just wondering also, not that I'll have 45 people, but what did they start charging per person following 25 alotted for the Divine package?  I like the set up of that package or maybe the one before that and add in a photographer.  Anything you have to offer is much appreciated!!

Kerri- I am trying not to bring too much either! I have koozies for favors, I'm bringing paper lanterns but I'm not sure about lights yet. I'm bringing table runners, paper straws, and door hangers for part of a welcome gift. I am going to have a bottle of champagne sent to everyone's rooms when we arrive so that I don't have to bring anything for OOT bags. I'm going to give our parents and sisters and my nephews their gifts before we leave for Mexico that way I don't have to travel with them! I have not been in touch with our officiant...I don't even know who our officiant is. I'm actually hoping that they just use whatever they have because I am not good at that stuff! As much as I would love to do a TTD session I can't because we are having a reception back here where I am wearing my dress. I'm thinking maybe for our one year I can do a session but we will see! Who is your photographer? That would be awesome if we were on the same flight as some of your family!

Meagan - I have Pilar as my coordinator...she has been great! Apparently she is the one handling all of the weddings now since Ana isn't there anymore.

Cortney - We went with the divine package and I just switched stuff out that I knew I wasn't going to use or want. I didn't have any problems doing this! I think the guitarist in the package can play for whatever you want them to play...I wanted to have a DJ instead so I switched that out. I think your best bet is to talk to Pilar about what it is that you want and go from there! She seems to be very accomadating! Good luck. :)

Hi Meagan,

I was in on the webinar last weekend. It went alright. There wasn't too much information that I wasn't already aware of from reading their wedding guide online and looking on here. The only real info that I got from it was to book the spa 45 days ahead of time to make sure that you get it for your hair and make up. Also, they do have Tiffany chairs but they are at a cost of 10 +tax per chair... too much for me for sure... I'll just be going with the white chair covers and bring my own bows. Also, the round tables hold 6-10 people and the long table holds 40 people.. In addition, if you go with thier package and photographer, you can purchase the cd with all your pictures on it for 350 dollars.

So, actually learned a bit now that I reread that post. We're going for a on site visit next week so I'm super excited!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
