Hi! I am planning my wedding at the NOW Jade for Oct/Nov 2013. Does anyone know if they charge extra for bringing our own photographer? I do not think there is since she would be a guest at the resort and not an outside vendor, per say...?

Thank you!

I brought my own photographer and he stayed on the resort so there was no extra charge.

Awesome thank you so much!

Again, I am a newbie as of yesterday so any tips, ideas, or anything else good to know about the Jade would be awesome.

We are thinking Oct 20-27 2013 or November 3-10 2013.

Anyone else have their wedding there during any of those times? Weather? Preference?

Thank you Jade Brides!!

:)

Hey Bran!  Congratulations! Not sure if you've seen the other Jade thread, but there's alot of good info on here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/78683/official-now-jade-wedding-thread/360#post_1794682

You can get around the vendor fee for a florist by meeting them outside the gates...haven't done it myself, but lots of other brides have shared their tips!

I am still debating between late October and early November 2013. I have read contradicting info online about the weather. Hurricane season runs through October and it has the most rainy/wet days out of the year. And, if, a hurricane hits, it is most likely in October. November starts dry season...although I have heard that November is also included in hurricane season.

Any opinions?

Anyone been to Riviera Maya in October and/or in November?

What was the weather like? Rainy? Those middle of the night downpours don't really bother me, but no rainy days please!!

Thank you!

Sadly, it can rain at any time.  It's the tropics.  However I've been to Riviera Maya in the beginning of November and I thought it was quite lovely, although a little chillier than I would have liked.

Has anyone used an outside vendor for flowers? I find everything I request a quote for is very expensive, so I'm wondering if I would have better luck sourcing somewhere else. Does anyone have any suggestions??
