Go with the Devine package!!!! you get a better option for food and more upgrades. My fiance and I were luckly enough to fly down there last year to see it in person, we didn't want to take chances of just seeing pictures.

We didn't want to go with their photographer, personally I didn't like them at all. We had a chance to see two weddings while we were down there. Pilar and her crew does an amazing job!! even things that need to be changed last minute.

If you are still looking for a photographer I highly recommend Citalli Rico! We had a chance to meet her and see her work while we were down there. Her's her blog so that you can see her work. She has won a lot of awards! She is based in Cancun and has done a lot of weddings!

Since we are having our own photograher Pilar gave me credit for other things like upgrading my chairs to Tiffany chairs instead of the regular chairs.

As far as flowers I say stick with them because they charge you a fee of $350 for outside vendors and it's totally  not worth it!

You will have a lovely time, the resort is beautiful and everyone is so friendly and even though its been almost a year since I've been there i have complete faith in Pilar to get everything done. Make sure you email her at least a month out and let her know when your guest are arriving and every detail about your cake and flowers. She will try to get it as close as possible.

If you have any other questions please let me know!

Vanessa,

Congrats! I see you are getting married in less than a month! How exciting! I will be getting married on June 1. I see you are going with an outside photographer and was wondering if you are going to be doing a TTD session? I am bringing my own photographer and was going to go to a cenote for our TTD but am trying to find out what the best locations are and how to get there. If you have any other info let me know! Thanks!!!!

Can anyone who has been to Now Jade confirm that the sports bar turns into a club after 10pm?  I think some guests may like to have that as an option since there isn't a disco at the resort.

From what I understood there is a sports bar that turns into a club with a dj after 10pm and is open until 1 or 2am. There are also many activities during the day. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the resort as well.

Awesome - thanks for confirming! It will be nice to have that as an option for those not ready to call it a night at 11pm :)

Just curious do you know what genre of music they play?

I got the middle package and upgraded the food for $5 I think.  I am most concerned about the flowers and centerpieces, as Pilar quoted me $325 for one of the photos I sent her.  Then I sent her another photo and she quoted $85, so there is a big difference and I just hope it turns out elegant and not tacky.  I'm leaving this Thursday and not really that stressed out about it.  Found a lot of stuff on Etsy and from ideas on Pinterest and the blogs.  Del Sol/La Luna is my photographer, that is the only real swap we are doing in the package.  Also adding on DJ Doremixx.  Feel free to email me with specific questions.  Acutally, I'm 1st most worried that it will rain, but whatever!  More excited than anything, but I have a bit more of a laid back attitude than some.  Enjoy the planning and fun that goes with making your day special!  Feel free to email me with questions.  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
