Laura, I read somewhere in the thread "Iberostar Rose Hall Brides-Post all info/questions here!" that the bride/groom AND guests are allowed to take off bracelets.  But don't throw them (and inform your guests): Every personn will have to give the old bracelet to the hotel reception the next day, in order to receive a new one, otherwise there will be fees!

I know...less than a year!!!  I also spoke with my TA recently...but we won't book for now because rates should come down...Haven't decided either on the venue...I wish the gazebo were beautiful!...but I really don't like it. undecided.gif

Hi krista33 I was wondering about this as well.  I have 37  guests and I wanted to have a private reception but they wont let me.  I even offered to pay the $800 and the extra cost for 3 more people to make up 40 guest.  I wanted to do toasts as well as a slide show at dinner but WC Santena said NO I would have to do a cocktail hour sometime after ceremony in order to slide show.  If anyone knows more about dinner for example really how many non-wedding guests they will put in the restaurant with you during your dinner please share.

June is not the off-season.  that is when kids get out of school, college kids get out of school and go on vacation.

how do they know you have 40 guest? why dont you just say you have 40 and grab 3 random people off the beach at the resort and let them crash your wedding to make 40 if you have 37?

I cant believe that you have to have 40...i hope i get that..right now we have 38...although i might let 2 crash the wedding if it means a private receiption

We have to send a seating plan with guest names I guess I could just make some up.  I heard that most semi private dinners that brides have had they did not even notice other guests.  I am just going to do what they say and save myself the 800$ rental fee.

michysmichy what restaurant  are you going with?   the steakhouse? If so there is a two sections in front or off to the side.  Im sure that you get the front section for wedding dinners and the side is used for non wedding guests.  I'll let you know how it goes since I'm March 7 and you're in April. :)

You don't have to submit the seating plan until much closer to the date. Maybe if you wait a few months you can get the names of some brides on here, to meet your numbers ;-)

Hi Jreist thanks that's a good idea. I think we're going to save the 800$ go for non-private and just do a cocktail party after our ceremony. Its cheaper and I think I've grown on the idea since it will give us a chance to do some sunset pictures while everyone else is enjoying some delicious drinks. I really appreciate all the info you've been posting you've be a great help to me and all the other brides. Your date is coming up soon I can't wait to hear about your magical day :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
