Iberostar Rose Hall Beach

Recommended Posts

I'm at the Suites but will be doing a regular dinner, not private. I don't have enough people for a private one anyway (between 10 and 15 guests). I'm not too concerned about it. I'd rather have the money to put elsewhere... like the photographer!

The contract they sent me this week definitely says 1 night stay for an external photographer. I hope my TA can help me book that at the lowest rate possible. It's really a bummer, but I really hope that there won't be a vendor fee on top of that or anything like that. I'm willing to do what it takes to have a decent photographer at my wedding but I know I'll have to cut some other "nice to haves" to make that happen.

Oh im glad i already booked everything and my photographre then because they told me i just had ato pay a vendor fee..im glad we got in there before the rule changes.

That really sucks for you though that you have to book them for a night makes it hard to get a really good photographer from jamaica.

WE rae doing a private dinne rhopfully ...we should have 40 people. Half of them havent booked yet! they waited becuase tehy thought the price would drop and it still hasnt! its annoying because we are getting married on Aprl 23 and only 23 people have booked...and some of the wedding party hasnt even booked yet.

It says you have to book a one night stay for them at the hotel the wedding is taking place. However, I don't see why they would actually have to spend the night there after the wedding. I'll have to clarify with the resort.

I hope your prices drop soon and your numbers go up! That must be nerve-wracking.

It really is considering some of the wedding party hasnt booked. I dont know why they waited. I told themthe price might not go down. Like my family said they will be booking by the end of February no matter what. I hope the guys get a decent price....cause all the bridesmaids already booked.....just need the groomsmen to book!

How long does it take for them to process you deposit so I can say its really official. It's driving me crazy knowing I had the date but that they haven't ran through my credit card to tell me it's locked in. Did you girls call or email to find out or just let them contact you?

I'm looking into switching from the Suites to the Beach, possibly, as I'm getting concerned about cost for guests since the rates I'm getting are higher than I was anticipating.

Two quick questions: I read in some reviews that the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach sometimes sells day tickets to cruise ships and then the resort gets really crazy. True? False?

Also, can anyone point me in the right direction for pictures of the Beach resorts ceremony "rain" location?

Thanks for any help!

Hi there,

We are getting married at the Beach on March 12.  Happy to say that we have been very pleased with Santena the WC at the Beach.  We just submitted our "Last Minute Details" file that spells out our detailed requirements.  Santena sent that document to us about 4 weeks out from our date.

For the bonfire, we chose to go with 2 hours after our rehearsal dinner (at the Japanese restaurant the night before).  We are having Steel Pans for the bonfire.  You need to have a min of 15 ppl for the bonfire.

Since we are only 17 ppl, we are planning to have the wedding at 4:00, dinner at 7:00 in the steakhouse and then a cocktail reception on the terrace with DJ afterwards, starting at 8:30.  Those who are into it will probably head to the disco afterwards.  According to the planning doc, you need to have 30 to book the disco and 80 for a private dinner reception.

Still thinking of having digipix do 12 pictures (free option) and then have one of our guests taking candid photos.

Anyone have any comments or advice?

Thanks,

Bill

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
