Iberostar Rose Hall Beach

Ok, I am starting to get frantic with three months to go and realize I need to buckle down and start really planning. Originally I was planning on doing a quick rehearsal and then bonfire the night before. But now I am contemplating doing a bonfire/DJ reception with open bar. Has anyone done this? My main concerns are getting my dress dirty and smoky smelling (even though I prob shouldn't care because I am going do a TTD lol), how well lit the area will be because we are having it videographed/photographed, and how easy it will be to dance (do they provide a hard surface or do you have to rent one?)

Hey guys!

Mcc842002......I think we are gonna save ourselves the $800 as well and have the cocktail hour on the bob marley terrace afterwards and thats where we will have our dancing and cake cutting, bc with the dinners I heard you get dessert as well, so I figured some cake with drinks later might be a good trade off...As for the resturants I was thinking the japanese for the rehearsal dinner, possibly the steak house for wedding dinner, but I am also curious of how this is set up and where the other guest that arent included in our guest are at in the resturant as well.....I would love to see pictures of this...all i can find our wedding pictures but none of setups or anything.....Ok talk to you soon!!

If you got to the iberostar brides page on FB the photographers just posted a bunch of bon fire pictures. The smikey smelling dress is probably gonna happen no matter what if you are near Fire.

I dont think theres anyway to do a bonfire andsnot smell like smoke after. If you ask one of the photographers for a sample pick of the fire tey will probably show it to you. When did you get your information sheet/send it in?  I just emailed the resort a bunch of question  asking baout booking hte cajan resturant and the disco and i want to make sure i get it but she said that we will confirm that withthe information sheet one month before but everyone else seems to be saying it would be 3 months before. I want to make sure we get the DISCO as i have heard that if one of the brides from the suites or grand book it before you ..then your out of luck.

Yep I was able to get some sample photos from photographers of the bonfire, they look good but I am back to having the fire the night before due to time constraints the night of the wedding. I got my information sheet right when I booked but I have not got the final detail sheet yet and haven't sent them in anything besides what I had in mind. But I haven't confirmed anything with them yet. I would definitely be more concerned if I was trying to get the Disco, have you told her in that is what you want to do? I would try to get her to agree to it in an email so you have it documented.

I emailed their wedding department at weddings@iberostar.com.jm, which is the same email address I have been using for questions since then. Let them know you are interested in booking a wedding, and what date(s) you are interested in. They will be able to tell you if they are available and send you the documents you need to fill out to reserve the date. I have received responses back from a couple of different people over the past year (Santena, Kymoya, Trisha) so I'm not sure who the main contact is right now.

I emailed them and just waited until they got back to me. Took around a week to hear back. I've heard people get faster responses by calling but I donno the number.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
