I need Cabo San Lucas reception ideas!!

Recommended Posts

Hello my fellow brides!  confused.gif

I need serious help! My fiance and I are set on a Cabo wedding. We have found a condo to rent in Cabo San Lucas but we are not sure were to have our ceremony/reception. We are on a lower budget. I try to look up places on their hotel websites but they all seem to say we have to stay there a certain amount of nights to get this price or that addition, etc. I'm not sure where to start/look at. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go. We will be having somewhere between 30-40 people- I'd like to have plated dinners and not buffet but I know that may not be an option with our budget.

We have looked into wedding planners but are too expensive and I tried www.destinationweddings.com but they would not allow us to book our own lodging. (NOT happy with our service with them, unfortunately)   blink.gif

I'm RREEALLYYY looking forward to any advice because I feel like my head may spin off with all the information out there. Thank you for your help!

Hi Chelsea,

First off, which condo did you book? We may be able to help through the management there or suggest a restaurant nearby.

I would suggest Sunset Di Mona Lisa for almost any wedding event. They do a fantastic job and it isn't over the top expensive. Tammy Wolff is the most reasonable (and down to earth fantastic) wedding coordinator in the area. I highly suggest contacting her at tammy@caboweddings.mx. She does a TON of weddings at this restaurant but can also help you with any other venue.

Good luck and do let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Hi Chelsea!

I was so overwhelmed when I started planning that I wanted to cry every time I thought about it. I didn't want to spend money on a WC, but I finally found one for a good price, and she's helped me tremendously!! Illeana Reyes at Romantic Cabo weddings is awesome, she is really helpful, helped me find a place, and when I told her my budget was only 10k for everything, she worked with me on pricing. Honestly, I would start with a WC, b/c they will think of places you didn't even know about, or help you discover places that you don't think you can afford. That is how I found Casa Dorada- I didn't think I would be able to afford it, but Illeana got me great prices, and having your own WC allows you to skip the wedding pkg, which isn't necessarily cheapest for you. You can also search WCs on this Cabo forum, there are a few good ones I think.

Hope that helps!

Hi!

Do you mind also sending me a pm with her prices? I would love to know how much she charges in order to know if I should even contact her. Thanks so much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
