Hi everyone,

 

I am newly engaged and FI and I are thinking DW in Mexico or Jamaica, sometime next winter.  We haven`t made any decisions yet on location (other than definitely all-inclusive) or a date.  We have done a bit of research ourselves but are looking for realistic advice, reviews and referrals to help sort things out as we don`t have any friends or family who have done a DW before.  That is actually one of the reasons a DW is attractive - it is something different than the traditional ceremony, dinner and reception which all of our friends have done. 

 

Just from browsing I have seen the awesome ideas and useful information you ladies have and I look forward to putting everything to use!

Welcome! I was so confused when I started planning our destination wedding.  We choose Jamaica and couldn't be happier with out decision!!  Good luck finding your dream destination and resort!

Congratulations and welcome to the forums! I recommend the Mayan Riviera area mainly because of the white sand and blue waters that are here! They are absolutely stunning! Some might also say that you can't catch a beautiful sunset because we are on the wrong coast... but I disagree!!! :-)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
