Gran Bahia Principe Coba Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone is there anyone getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe Coba.

We are getting married there in April 14, 2012.

Our planning is going great Maria is amazing and gets back to us quickly some times.

We have had one problem and that being the resort photographer is not at all cheap and never returned any of my emails or facebook message. Even after Maria and Paloma contacted them still nothing.. So I started looking into bringing someone from home to do the pictures and found it is way cheaper then using the onsite photographers.

I have been to this resort 3 times now and love it there. I see us going every year. the staff is amazing and if your a VIP you get spoiled too.

Hi Jen! Congratulations!

I just returned home from photographing a wedding at the Coba, and it is definitely cheaper to fly in your own photographer.

Here is the "official" thread that I have put together for the Gran Bahia. Emily2012 is getting married two days after you!  I believe she is planning on using the resort photographer, but you could discuss flying a photographer in together to save costs. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/75549/official-gran-bahia-principe-riviera-maya-thread/10#post_1663902

Hi Jen,

We are getting married at Coba as well, but not until March of 2013.  We decided to bring our own photographer with us as well.  We are paying approximately the same as the best package that the resort photographer charges, but we are getting way more images plus a trash the dress session.  I absolutely love her work, but I thought she would be too expensive to bring, but it wasn't the case.  I have not been to the Coba or any other Gran Bahia property.  We are going to the GBP in Jamaica at the end of February to check out their style.  Fingers crossed we are impressed because we already paid our deposit for the wedding!

Good luck...April is just around the corner.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
