We are arriving Saturday nov 30th and stayin until dec 7th!

Mady for the week I mentioned for the basic rooms its 1390$ 7 days tax and flight includes from Toronto . We got prices for every room alot of my guests are staying in colonial club 18+ section .

Right now I have 26 guests book I'm hoping to have around 30 :)

Kasey what's your wedding day looking like? Are u have a private reception ? Etc

I'm so sorry it took so long for me to respond! Work and life got super hectic! I think things have finally slowed down enough to get back to wedding planning! We are arriving Friday Nov. 29 and staying until Dec. 7th. Our actual wedding will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 4.  Then we will be moving to another resort for a week for our honeymoon. It's so cool to meet someone that will be there during our stay!

Right now it looks like I'm having around 15 people total.

I am SO torn on something, and I would love any and all suggestions!  We are having a non-private dinner in one of the restaurants. Afterwards, I have reserved the poolside bar for a private reception with DJ and dancing. Here is my dilemma...I was hoping more guests would be coming. Now that we have a total of 15 (that includes me & fiance) it seems almost silly to have a dj and dancing with so few people. But I have no idea what  else we would do to celebrate as a group? I just don't want it to feel awkward with so few people on a dance floor (because of course not everyone will be out there). Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'm having the same dilemma as you. Currently I'm at 10 guests. sad.gif Much less than I had expected. Hopefully more will rsvp, but my fiance thinks it's kind of silly to get a DJ for so little people. I'm interested to see if someone can answer that question.

Hi girls,

I am also having the semi-private dinner and booking the wet bar for our reception. We will be having cake, speeches and our first dance during our reception. We are not getting a DJ and just using our own music to save on costs. I went to a wedding in Mexico a few weeks ago and they booked a DJ and the music was great, but I didn't even know there was a DJ. As long as you have good music, good friends and some booze, I'm sure everyone will have a good time :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
