You can check out my website. Www.weddingwire.com/alexandbritney

I'm still trying to figure out the whole registry thing bc we honestly don't want or need gifts.

We also are trying to do the no registry thing, but everyone still asks us if we have a registry set up yet. I guess most people expect you to have one, so we decided to set one up for those that do what to gift us something.

I know exactly what you mean. I think we are going to register at Bed, Bath and Beyond and maybe one other place. I have a thread floating around somewhere with need to have items.

I figured towels, sheets, and other little items are always a great thing to have extra of. I love to cook and have enough kitchen stuff for probably 3 kitchens.

hello brides,

i'm having trouble with wording for my website. i want to let guests know that are coming to the wedding that they don't need to bring a gift since they are already spending so much to come. however, for the other people who can't make it and friends/family who want to get us something, i need to put the registry up. any suggestions on how to explain this situation? Thanks!!!

We are going to write something along the lines of:

"Your PRESENCE at our wedding is the greatest PRESENT you could possibly give us!  It is not necessary to bring tangible gifts to our wedding.

We are registered at:

A

B

C"

Hey, Kuttley, I am not until 2014, but I am game planning already.  I am doing a mug style cup, key/tip holder, first aid kit with ER meds as well (combo with oh shit kit), a shot glass, welcome letter, snacks, the little water flavoring packs, & a candle so far.  There are many ideas floating around!

Feel free to take a look at our site for my wording...I basically just said we're not expecting gifts from anyone, but we will be setting up registries for showers. Here's the link if you're interested:

Here is a link to a thread I just created earlier... It has some pictures of my OOT goodies. :o)

Also, feel free to click on my name and go to my profile. At the bottom you will see all of the pictures I have uploaded in different threads about OOT items, etc. I find this to be easier than searching thread after thread.

My wedding is in March 2013 at Elegance. Reading the forum has helped...But I can't make up my mind about the Steak House or Sea at Sea. To think I was actually thinking of having a private reception... Can't make up my mind. Atleast I have a dress..aha! I can check that off!

lol... I was in your exact same shoes.. I went with the Steakhouse because I loved the menu. You can't go wrong with beef tenderloin and I hate seafood unless it crab legs or shrimp.. I was confident in my decision for the longest time.. Well, until I started seeing pictures on the Majestic Elegance Brides group on Facebook. Less than a month ago I swapped over to See & Sea.. The view is just gorgeous!!! Not sure what to do for the party afterwards since we have such a late dinner. But considering a welcome dinner the night before the wedding at either the steakhouse or the buffet, I'll have to sort through pictures and reviews before I make that decision.

I agree the Steak House menu looks so much better, but my fiance wants the view. I'm not on FB...(drama). But I'll have my fiance look at those pics you mentioned.  Thanks again for the input cheesy.gif

Sounds like me and my FI. I finally came to the conclusion of I too would rather have a gorgeous view and a great spot for dinner pictures. So guests who dont like the food can go to the all night snack bar.. lol.. I hope that doesn't sound mean.

I understand, you should def check out the site though. Maybe you should create a dummy fb and add Majestic Elegance and Majestic Colonial Groups. You'll have to wait to be accepted to view everything and post, but I highly recommmend it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
