Majestic Colonial/Elegance Brides 2012-2013

Recommended Posts

I have asked some girls that were previously married at the Majestic and they said that you can cut off your bracelet and just keep it and then go back the next day and they will put a new one on you.

I have actually seen some photos were the groom did not take of his bracelet and it did not look very good!

I have also been wondering about a welcome dinner Our wedding is actually the day before we leave. Sucks but there was a cancellation and i really wanted to get married here so i will deal with it. I have also had doubts about asking too much of the guests since it is their vacation too but they have to eat dinner and they will be getting a bag of goodies so i maybe that thought will help me get over it. Do you think they would give out a print out to my guests as they check in with their keys stating the welcome dinner time? They don't even have to eat with us just get their bags and go?!

WOW, I was thinking that I would just leave all the OOT bags at the desk and have them give them to the guests as they arrive, but now it's looking like that might not be such a good idea!  Our wedding is on a Monday.  Guests will be arriving on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  We will have a pre-dinner cocktail hour on (5pm to 6pm) Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Lobby Bar.  I think it would be a good idea to bring the OOTs there to distribute.  Then we can see everyone in person.  I can include it in the invitations that there will be this event, and then have a brochure for the rest of the events in the OOTs.  Then the cocktail hour will dissipate as people prepare for their evenings, dinner etc.  I will also be able to personalize the bags and not worry that people are getting the wrong bags.  A HA!!!

Hehe, that was my response to my Fiance, but they have to eat. lol....  Hmm... that is actually a great idea!.. I didn't think of how to notify the guests of the welcome dinner... Either we could ask the resort and hope they don't forget... Or choose the date, time, venue for the dinner. Post it on our wedding website, tell everyone and tell everyone to remind each other... Or send out an invitation about the welcome dinner to the confirmed guests. Hmmm.. decisions....

Hi Kuttley,

I plan on doing OOT bags for my guests. There are sooo many different things you can put inside:

lotion, medicine, games, snacks, crossword, costmetics, tshirts....it all depends on how much you want to spend - sky is the limit.

There are a few threads on this topic that you should look at for more information - checkt he Forum called Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags.

For someone who loves to party plan...I am completely lost.

My wedding is in March 2013 at Elegance. Reading the forum has helped...But I can't make up my mind about the Steak House or Sea at Sea. To think I was actually thinking of having a private reception... Can't make up my mind. Atleast I have a dress..aha! I can check that off!

hello brides,

i'm having trouble with wording for my website. i want to let guests know that are coming to the wedding that they don't need to bring a gift since they are already spending so much to come. however, for the other people who can't make it and friends/family who want to get us something, i need to put the registry up. any suggestions on how to explain this situation? Thanks!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
