This thread has been so helpful!  I emailed ME yesterday asking for openings for a symbolic wedding at the end of January.  Everyone keep your fingers crossed that they have some openings.....otherwise I may be a May bride as well!

We have just started looking into ME - as St. Thomas just does not seem to be able to fit out needs (and budget) with 80+ guests.  This forum has been super helpful!

 

Has anyone planned a wedding there with a larger group??

Welcome!  I just confirmed my date this week for May 13th at 5 pm.  We are estimating about 70 guests.  We are going to have a civil ceremony on the beach, and then dinner at the Sea and See, and then a private party/reception at the Wet Bar Terrace!  The dinner will not be private, but a nice sit down dinner basically for free is unbeatable!  We just ordered our magnetic "Save the Date" cards last night.  They are SOOOO cute!  I encourage everyone to check out www.magnetstreet.com .  I am SOOOOOOO excited!!!

I agree with Punta Bride. My fiance and I had decided to book Majestic Elegance for our August 2013 all the way back on October of 2011. We immediately started emailing the resort. Our response was we had to wait until atleast Jan 2012 to start booking for any date in 2013. I'm one of the brides that literally waited until the first week of January and contacted them and requested my date. I've had my date since March of this year for next year. I myself had to wait 2 months just to get an ok on the date, even that much in advance. My advice to anyone is to start contacting the resorts as soon as you even think of a date!

Hi bride2b2013! I thought it was exciting to see that you will be getting married the day before me! Our wedding will be on Janurary 24th, 2013 at 2pm (on the beach)!  I haven't done too much wedding planning yet ... I guess I should start soon as we have 80+ guests currently booked! We never imagined this many would come away with us.
