My walk down the aisle sandles from Nine West

My reception shoes - I am only doing flats since we want a beach wedding and reception.  Plus, I like to be comfortable.

For my hair - not too sure how I am going to use it just yet - bought it from Alfred Angelo.  It matches the beading on my dress.

I am not too sure about the veil, but this is the one my mom bought.  She loved it.

They have star fish on them.  I got them from Alfred Angelo.

 Bridesmaid Gift Ideas:

Robe with their name on it or just bridesmaids shirts

AND

  • Little Coach bag (can find ones at the outlets for like $40);
  • Havaiana flip flops
  • pearl bracelet (see picture below)

I think we are also paying for the hair & makeup AND of course they are getting the gift bag that all guests are getting.  Is this too much or too little?   I am really not asking the girls to do anything.  The MOH is the only one that has really done anything (she has gone to A LOT of bridal appts with me) since the other two bridesmaids live in other states.  I am not even asking for a bachelorette or bridal shower.  Thoughts?

Groomsmen gifts:

I saw another bride give the groomsmen Ray Ban sunglasses (http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/73605/julies-jamaican-irhs-after-the-fact-planning-thread-pic-heavy).  That is cute. Not sure what my groom thinks of that idea.  We are also considering buying the vests for the guys to wear, but my groom will be discussing dress options with his BM next month.

I think I figured out what I want to give as gifts to the bridesmaids:

pearl bracelet from BlueNile.com for $40: http://www.bluenile.com/freshwater-pearl-bracelet_7190

Robes from Plum Pretty Store - 4 for $260 ($65 each)

What are other people doing??

I want to do something simple and classy.

Moms' gifts - not too sure just yet...

Also, I love your Wedding Prep timetable.

Are you making Welcome Bags?

I am not sure if we will do welcome bags.  I assumed so, but if we pay for an excursion, I thought that would be a better gift.  We will of course do a welcome letter and party.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
