Dreams riviera cancun reception location

Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum as well as newly engaged! I have been researching cancun all inclusive resorts for the past few weeks and am pretty confidant that I have found THE spot in DRC. Now my dilemma....they do have my date open (11/2/12) however only the beach is available :(. I kinda fell in love with their pool deck and I'm bummed it's not available. I'm writing to see if any of you guys have had their reception at the beach vs the pool deck or have seen the set up at the beach?? All the reviews i have found on here have talked about how great the pool deck was but i havent seen anything on the other locations. They do have the deck available in Dec but I don't known that it's worth pushing my date a month just to get it. Any insights will help me make my decisions and will be so very much appreciated!! Thanks!! Camila

Welcome.  Try finding the forum for DRC, there will probably be more helpful answers there!  For us, the reception site didn't matter as much as our ceremony site.  We were happy that we were able to have our ceremony where we wanted it and our reception was just a bonus to have where we wanted it.  I guess if you don't want to move your date (it is completely booked up until December?) then you will have to just do the beach.  I think the beach would be a lot of fun and more intimate then a pool deck.

Hi Camila. Im getting married there in October and I just got back this weekend from a site inspection. They actually have an area in the middle of the pools that is also very nice. She told me that there are 3 outside reception areas: the beach, the pool area, and the pool deck. Hope that helps. Im also trying to figure out where to do my reception...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
