Hello all,

This looks like a great resource. I'm getting married on 12th of May 2012 (yes, just three months away, yikes!) and we're still looking for flowers, cake and music. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good guitar trio/mariachi band/DJ/fun band for the evening entertainment? We're having a super small do, so nothing too fancy. Any suggestions about anything else would also be greatly appreciated!

Try looking in the specific threads.  There is a thread about wedding music which includes information about such things as mariachi bands and playlists ect.  Happy planning:)

Hello everyone,

Thanks for the tips. I'll have a search. And no, we're not having a wedding planner. Not sure if it's crazy, but we're literally only having 14 guests (parents, siblings and partners and our best friends). The hotel hasn't been too great in terms of communicating with us as they don't do very many weddings and seem to think we have tons of times (anxious brides anyone?) so we're trying to do a lot of the legwork ourselves! It seems like quite an expense to hire a planner for such a small outing...

Congrats to all of you!

Congratulations and welcome to the forums. I have worked with Ivan from DJ Doremixx  (http://www.doremixx.com/) many times and he is fantastic! The best DJ out here from what I've seen. He is also a vendor on this website so you can check him out in the vendor section!

Best of luck with everything! Let me know if you have any questions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
