Haha update? Hmmm...well I guess I am just adding a photographer to our package, and will pay for it myself.

 

I am trying not to stress about this, but it hurts my feelings that he is still resisting to help with the bill. It's also wonderful that my dad probably is really frustrated with him as well and his cheapness. SUCH an awesome way to come into a new family with your FFIL already pissed at you.

I really hope that your FI comes around!  If not, I think you should have a heart to heart with him!  He needs to understand that sometimes couples just need to pay wedding stuff together! (Not to mention I would want to get a feel of how he was going to be during the marriage with "his" money). And if your mom isn't covering something, then I feel he should have no problem paying for that stuff!  It shouldn't all be on you and your parent's.  Also for a man to say I paid for your ring is kind of hurtful.  All men pay for engagement rings and yet most men are still willing to help out financially with the wedding!  That's not fair to you!!  I so hope you guys work through this and everything works out and no longer stresses you out!  Money is stressful enough without a wedding!!!!!

Well said! Especially the "Money is stressful enough without a wedding" part. It goes the other way, too...weddings are stressful enough without stressing over who's paying for what!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
