Hello All!

I have just began planning my destination wedding. My fiance and I have chosen to have our wedding and honeymoon at Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa and Resort. I am looking for any pointers, suggestion, and feedback from anyone who has planned a wedding or is planning a wedding at this resort. I would love to do the plane ticket invitations or passports for this as well. Definitely would love some pointers on this as well. Thanks!

I am planning one their in May. Not sure what package you picked but we did the free package and added on a hour reception and had the planner set up so we can all eat at one of their restaurants after that. I made brochures and sent them out months before which was the biggest hit because with Sandals having deals on and off they could book and plan months before hand. they are a three fold so their is two photos.

Hey girl! I didn't have a wedding at Sandals but the hubs and I took our honeymoon at the one in St. Lucia, and as a wedding photographer myself watching others get married at the resort, I STRONGLY suggest you bring in your own photographer. The photogs they have on site are alright, but if you want your wedding documented in a way that it deserves, DEFINITELY think about bringing your own vendor. They have photographers wandering around the resort at all times, taking photos of all the couples vacationing and such. You can choose to purchase the images if you want but I really wasn't impressed with anything I saw. Just my two cents of advice! I hope that helps!

Hi,

I just booked my wedding at the Royal Bahamian for this June. I'm looking forward to reading any responses you get to this thread. Do you know anything about the ceremony sites? The WC sent me some pictures of the different sites but I want to see what the Pier is all about but of course that picture wasn't sent to me. All I know is that it costs extra.

Thanks and good luck with your planning!

Jaime

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
