I'm a Dreams Palm beach bride so I can't speak on the locations, but I'd def suggest you begin thinking about save the dates, and what vendors you may want to use (photog, dj, or florist). Theres tons of resources on this site if you need them.

Im also a Dreams Punta Cana Bride... Our wedding dates are very close, I'm August 2,2012.... I remember having that very overwhelmed feeling (I still get it).

I definately agree, get your save the dates out ASAP!!!

As far as where to pick for the reception, you kind of have to have some idea of how many guests you are going to have first. Each terrace has a maximum holding capacity. I have 40 people attending, so I went with the Himitsu.

Also, I would start by looking closely at the three different wedding packages that Dreams Punta Cana offers and choose which one fits you best. Then from there you can decide what add-ons you will need.

My ceremony/reception are both just about done (have a few details to iron out) and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

This website has so many helpful things on it.

I have decided on the Himitsu also my and so did my Fiance.. As for save the dates we have already done that being that everyone is so cyber savvy now a days we went with online E- Save the dates (Saves alot of money also).  At first I had chosen the Ultimate package but now reading everyones ideas of going with a smaller package and getting add on i'm considering it also, Will do some calculations and see how it goes.. The only thing I really don't like is the dinner menu i feel like our guests should have more the one option instead of us picking for them what they must eat, not everyone eats the same thing huh.gif

Im getting married at Dreams on July 3rd.   I feel like I should be planning but really haven't done much.  Has anyone else planned out the details yet for their wedding with their wedding coordinator?  Should I be doing something?

My wedding is no June26, 2012. We are having our reception at the hitmisu.  I like the idea of having that beautiful view from the Hitmize to the whole hotel. I am geting the ultimate wedding package. i think  itis the most complete package for a reasonable price. Now, I have a question, Do you know if we get the honeymoon suite with that package? thanks and congrats!!

    • we ended up using Facebook messenger when we were in Mexico - the hotel had free wifi and at least 1 person from each family/couple had FB on their phone already - it was pretty easy to communicate among guests "hey, we're heading to the beach bbq for lunch." or "everyone is hanging at the small pool today".  a plus was that some people tried to get a hold of me via FB on the day of the wedding and I was totally not checking my phone - they were asking if the wedding was outside given the rain forecast, thankful my mom, MOH and a few other friends were on the group and could respond for me :)

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
