Newbie, Moon Palace 2013

Recommended Posts

Hello ladies. I am keen to know your thoughts!!! I am looking to get married in November 2014 do therefore I am unable to book the Hoilday untill November this year through a travel agent. However I have been in contact with the moon palace to ask about my wedding and prices etc. I receive a phone call from a lovely lady called Ana. She took all my details and emailed me a wedding contract giving me a date and time for my wedding in 2014. All I have been asked to do is sign the paperwork and send it back along with my credit card details and $460 to reserve my wedding date and time. Has anyone else been in the same position? I always feel uneasy sending my card details 😳 The $460 is said to include all admin and the civial service along with the blood tests, I'm sure that through a travel agent thus would cost more than what MP are asking. Any advice would be greatly recieved. Thank u Kelly xxx

Hi lovely brides x I'm a newbie bride to be from the UK. I am getting married at the moon palace in 6 months time and need to start putting things into action. For brides who have already got married at the moon did you have a wedding coordinator you could contact before you went? I would really like to have a lounge set up and lantern structure. Does anyone know if the moon palace do this or do I need to contact an outside vendor? Any help and advice would be amazing as I haven't a clue!

Hi, I am a 2014 Moon Palace bride, cannot wait!   I am wondering if anyone has a menu list for cocktails and buffet?  I found a listing on the site  once but I cannot find it again.  The lists that I saw there were about 10 different buffet themes to choose from and I am not sure how many for the cocktail menu.  If anyone has the list could you post it so I can take a look or tell me where I can find it.  I have my date set but the resort won't send me anything else until 90 days prior to the wedding.

Hi there, congrats, I too am a uk bride, leaving uk in less than two weeks. You will get a wedding coordinator 90 days before your wedding. She will give you details of vendors that they suggest you use, but you can use others with an added fee. We are having a private reception on a terrace with lanterns, and a iPod set up. It's is worth noting that this all costs lighting was a shock, I would advise you to think carefully about purchasing decorations here to take with you - you get charged for set up - this can be more expensive that getting a vendor to do it for you. I made this mistake purchased it here but it was costing so much for set it up I decide to go with a vendor that doesn't charge for set up, we are using Lily at Zuniga she is providing decorations and lighting. The organising is much more in depth than we thought it would be. Let me know if I can help, got menus etc.

Hello Brides, I am getting married in two weeks, I finally worked all my details out after a very difficult week with communication and annoying mishaps on their part. The only thing that I have not figured out is how to communicate with my other guests once we get there. All of us will not have cell phone access in Mexico. Just wondering if any of you ladies have suggestions that you have thought of yourselves? Or if the resort will give us a list of rooms that we are all staying in? Any information will be super helpful! Thank you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
