Newbie, Moon Palace 2013

Recommended Posts

Hey All,

I am getting married at Moon Palace April 26 2014..... my wedding coordinator is Elizabeth Yanez..... does anyone else have her? I am not having a very good experience with her... she seems very unorganized... she keeps emailing me details that have mistakes in it... and then she wanted to call me to "confirm a few things" and she couldnt even get the time right... first she says 10 am my time... then she says 11 am.... then back to 10 am... and she ended up calling me at 7 am! Then she had nothing to say to me and said don't you have questions? ...I am getting frustrated and wondering if anyone has complained before about their coordinator and gotten a new one?

Hi @@kaliellis10 I also have Elizabeth Yanez and my experience has been good so far.  I mean it does take a couple days sometimes for her to respond to emails and questions but that's to be expected.  I've also had phone calls with her and they went great I just always make sure to have a million questions on hand so I'm prepared to ask her everything I want to know at once.  Maybe set up another phone call with her and voice your concerns I know she handles alot of weddings and it can be hard to keep them all straight sometime but you should still feel like you are getting just as much attention and care when it comes to your wedding just like any other bride.  I'm sure if you voice your concerns and have questions regarding your wedding ready she will be happy to help you.  She's been very pleasant and helpful to me we are even pinterest friends and I started a private wedding board that she follows so she can see my ideas.  Good luck I know the wedding planning can be stressful I know i'm stressed. lol ;)

Leigh when are r u getting married? We have been given Brenda she is very nice but I seem to be starting from scratch again with the plans! Emails do seem to be slow coming back I have read reviews that it can be hard work before u get there but once u r there they are amazing xx

Hi Jenny 26th May. Elizabeth has got better I must admit since I last posted. Sorry it took me a while to reset my password for the forum. I think Ana spoilt me slightly but again I am back to square one with the plans. I had to resend our birth certs and discuss gazebos again which I nearly missed out on as they were all book apart from 1. So that would have been stressful.

Hope Brenda works out ok for you

I 'be heard the same that they pull it together onsite and do an amazing job so fingrr s crossed xxxx

Kaleillis - Just ask for a new one.

Fellow past and future brides -

I am about to have a planner assigned (not the on-site coordinator).  Can you please tell me who is your, and if you like her, why/why not?  Thank you so very much!!

I am looking for someone who 'gets it' (ideas/concerns, etc..), and isn't out for every last cent for absolutely everything.  Thanks!

Hello!

I'm getting married at MP this June and trying to decide what I need for decor, AV, lighting, etc. Has anyone used any outside vendors besides Zuniga and JSAV? My wedding planner said there's a $800 outside vendor fee for each vendor, which I think is ridic, so unless there's a way around it, I'm pretty much stuck with using their preferred vendors.

Any suggestions??

Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
