I'm finding it hard to mix the destination wedding and vintage wedding concepts together. It seems like a lot of people want to do the whole "islandy" feel and that's not really the direction I want to go. I'd love to do an island vintage feel.

I'd love to see any pictures you have or websites you've found on this look! Thanks in advance!

Hey i think we may have the same style!! Im also going with a vintage theme, no beachy accents. My colors are ivory and burlap with dark purple. I plan on using alot of lace and burlap. I created a styeboard

Oh my. THAT is gorgeous! Exactly the direction I love! Except I'll be using Coral. Do you have Pinterest? I'd love to follow you!

I love the vintage/rustic look too... we actually originally thought about having a wedding like that in the mountains. But anyway, I would like to bring in those elements to our AHR. I am collecting glass jars and wrapping twine around them to use for centrepieces (with white flowers...  I am thinking maybe bunches of baby's breath)

I have also been collecting some other ideas. If you want, you can check out my AHR board on pinterest - there are some pictures on there for ideas.

I dont have pintrest.... dont even really know what it is.. maybe ill look into it and let you know. I was thinking of adding in some coral as well seeing as most of our colors are very neutral (ivory, brown from the burlap, and some grey or silver details) if i do add in coral though it will just be in the flowers

If you are interested in pinterest, I can send you an invite. It is quicker than requesting one.

That is funny; coral is our colour too! So for the DW it is coral and blues, tropical... though now I find myself coming back to lots of 50s vintage things too. But for the AHR more subtle corals and blues to mix in with the rustic vintage look. Love the ideas ladies!

Did any of you "coral" girls have a hard time finding coral bridesmaid dresses? And also, what wedding dress are you wearing? I'd love to see pictures! The one I like is the Allure C143 but I'd make it more of a mermaid than an A line. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
