Congrats girl!!! I grew up in Maryland (PG County) and currently live in Los Angeles. Our families probably WILL be on the same flights. Are you working with a travel agent?

Thanks Pouchie!! Yep, I'm lugging all of my decor stuff with me. Even my candles, because I'm not sure of what the hotel provides (and how much extra it will cost to use it). Did anyone find out about the different color linens that Chandlyn uses??

Will all of these be served or printed on the menu's or do you have to choose 1 selection for the entire group??

I think the guests choose which meal they want at the dinner and that RIU prints out the menus. But I could be wrong, let me check with Chandlyn to have her clarify and I'll get back to you.

I looked at paying extra per person for an upgraded menu and for open bar but I have 65 guests booked so far, We can't afford to pay for upgrades. There is also dancing available in the plantation if you were looking for another option instead of renting the disco.
Okay, if I'm deciding to go with the FREE INCLUSIVE MENU, do I have to pay anything extra for outside guests (not including the $50 entry fee)

I just emailed Chandlyn asking her about the menus - (1) if they will be on the tables or if we need to print them out, (2) if our guests need to decide beforehand which meal they would like, and (3) if beer and wine are definitely included. You know she takes awhile to get back to me, but when she does, I'll let you all know!!!

Okay great! Thanks Lizz! So i'm thinking that all the selections will be listed on the menu and our guests will just choose which one they want. I hope Riu doesn't need to know the headcount for the selection options beforehand because I didn't include that on my rsvp cards.

Let me know if you find anything out. Thanks a bunch!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
