Mel, eat carbs at 1 meal tomorrow. You will not feel depressed or deprived or anything because it will make you feel better. Trust me, eating no carbs is not a good way to go, especailly if depressed, carb deprivation can cause that, eliminating something completely from your diet that you used to eat causes withdrawl and depression. So, don't do it. Eat some carbs tomorrow.

You better bring your camera, I can't wait to see the pics.

OK I'm going to have a tuna sandiwich tomorrow. Yummy.
I am not making it up, it totally causes depression, look it up. Withdrawl is bad, but lack of carbs is bad as well. Talk to someone on Atkins or another no carb diet, they are cranky and sad and not the same person they used to be. So, don't be that person cause you will end up unhappy and probably fighting with J before the wedding. Make sure you still have some of the things you love, just in moderation and be good 90% of the time, but leave yourself room to "cheat". That way you will be successful.

Mel, did you have your sandwich today?

Also, I put this in the exercise thread, but I wanted to post here as well, I was so happy this morning. I have a pair of dress pants that 2 weeks ago were too tight on me to wear, they were not comfortable at all. Well, for some reason this morning I decided to torture myself and I put them on. All I have to say is I am wearing them now and they are actually a little roomy. I am so happy. I think I actually did a little dance in them. lol elefant.gif

Jules that is FANTASTIC! I am soooo happy and proud of you right now. yay

Yes I had a sandwich and I swear it was the BEST sandwich EVER. OMG I loved every bite of it hehe. Then I had some meatballs and a taco salad for dinner (minus the chips) and now I'm munching on some cashews. I'm an eating machine today.

Went to the doc today, I have an ear infection sad.gif But on a good note I LOST 2 pounds since last Monday WOOHOO!

Great Job Julie & Melissa!! I haven't weighed myself, I thought it might discourage me so I've just been holding off as long as possible.

Its so damn hot here today!! I'm melting right now!

Mel, I was an eating machine today too, I don't know why, well I sort of do, I have certain weeks of the month where I can eat non stop and other weeks I'm not hungry at all, why, just why??

Mel that is awesome, 2 lbs is awesome smile123.gifsmile123.gif

That sucks about the ear infection, did you get some drugs for it. I hate ear infections, I get about 1 a year.

Jill, did you work out today?

I would not weight myself either if it discouraged me. Do what is best for your diet and what will make you stick to it.

I haven't gotten an ear infection since I was a little girl. And yes I got LOTS of drugs... one of my friends once had an ear infection and ruptured her ear drum on a plane because it wasn't treated! Totally freaked me out, which was the main reason i went yesterday.

I'm a grumpy bear this morning so we'll see how the diet holds...

You are not feeling well and you got no sleep, of course you are grumpy. I think you need to treat yourself and eat a LITTLE bit of something you have been craving. It will make you feel better instantly. And then go for a long walk, by the water if possible, or do some yoga or something to help you think about all the craziness in your life and try to be at ease with it. For real, being super strict with our diet makes us grumpy in and of itself, so have a little something special and then relax. Maybe wine and a bath, that sounds sooo good to me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
