It will all be worth it in...how many days for you 21? You're going to look so beautiful in your dress!!!

Go work out and then take a bubble bath and then come back if you have time!

Keep doing your strength training (weights) AND do 1 hour of cardio 6 days per week (target 228 calories burned each session). The equipment at the guy is usually off by 65%, so if the treadmill says you've burned 100 calories, it's really on 35. No one ever tells you that and it's a bummer.

I got this regime from my (expensive) trainer. I am so happy to share it and hope it helps!

Good luck!
Thank you, thats great!

Do not do any fad diets (South Beach, Atkins, etc).

Just eat 5-6 small meals a day. Be really strict the first two weeks.

Cardio, cardio, cardio.

I would do 45 minutes of walking four times a week.

It works wonder.

Remember, it is not safe to lose more than 2 - 3 pounds a week.

You can do it!

DO NOT CRASH DIET! It is unbelievably unhealthy and easier to gain weight back.

You guys get these awesome things that they just don't have here, that protein shake that you posted Amy sounds great, low cal and high protein, its perfect. Think I can get them in Canada though? Hell No!!

Lol. I did bootcamp last night, it was killer. After that I moved furniture around at my sister's house, that was a workout itself. After that a friend came over and brought candy and chips. It was so hard. I had a handful of skittles and did not touch anything else. That was very hard for me. But, I did have a salad for dinner and a grilled chicken pita for lunch and a boiled egg and 1 piece of whole wheat toast for breakfast. So, that candy did not throw me off that much.

I am also trying to lose 5 lbs in 10, 9 weeks. I eat 5-6 small meals a day. And try to work out at least an hour and a half each day. I hate to say this because I HATE doing it, but run. I force myself to run 30 minutes each day and then get on the bike for 30 minutes, do 300 crunches on a workout ball, and 300 leg lifts. I hate it. But I have to do it.

How about incorporating cottage cheese into your diet, its full of protein and low in calories. I usually get the 1% lowfat cottage cheese and eat it for breakfast with some tomatoe slices... sounds sooooo apatizing I know.

Good Luck!

Monika

Good Job Julie!! If you check out a store like walmart or target, they usually sell some type of protein shake, you just have to check out the nutrition facts for calories, fat, etc...

It sounds like you ate really good yesterday, keep up the good workcheer2.gif

I love cottage cheese and tomatoes!! I forgot to buy some the other day I'm going to have to pick some up.

I worked out this morning with my cindy crawford video for an hour, I need to do more cardio when I get home, so I'll probably get on the treadmill for about an hour.

So far today I had a banana with a little bit of peanut butter and a kashi go lean bar. I have a lean cuisine and some cantaloupe for lunch and I think I'm doing a grilled chicken salad for dinner.

Moving is such a great workout. You must be one sore girl today. Good job on the skittles, I'm not much of a candy person myself. SO staying away from sugar isn't a big deal to me. but it must have been hard for you. I hate it when it's just sitting there looking at you calling your name to eat it LOL

Thanks Monika. Good luck to you as well. Working out an hour and a half is totally going to get you to your goal weight. You're doing it the right way. I am not. 2 weeks to go and I'm panicking. I will fit my dress but I just want to look good on the beach.

Jill how's that condy crawford video? I heard from a friend it's actually a good workout and moves at a good pace. I was a bad girl last night and I didn't (cna't beleive I'm admiting this) do my workout. Today I will though, I keep telling myself. The killer is going to be helping out at the ice cream place today. All those milkshakes calling my name. hehe

Good luck girls I think today is going to be hard for me.

You better get your butt to the gym tonight to do your workout. Sitting on your ass is not going to help you look better in a swim suit!!!

How was that? :)

At the ice cream place, have some low fat frozen yoghurt or some Sorbet, that will kill the ice cream carving and will not be so bad for you. Milk Shakes are TERRIBLE, do not have one of those, stay away.

I like the cindy crawford workout, I have the 2nd one, I think its called "the next challenge" Its good for concentrating on abs, arms, & chest, but only has about 15-20 minutes of cardio, so thats why I want to do more cardio tonight. I'm seriously so sore from the two videos I did yesterday!

You guys all gave really good tips! BTW...I get those protein shakes I mentioned at Target or Walmart for about 4.99/4pack. You should be able to find them in Canada I hope!

So Jen (jenandbrenden) asked me to throw together a list of what I eat pretty much everyday for her and I will post it here for you. I stick to 5 meals per day and workout maybe 5-6 days a week for 1 1/2 hours or so. I do no less than 45 minutes of cardio and about 25 min of weights and 15 of abs. I'm a big believer in cutting calories since that is what really does the trick. That being said.....don't cut too much! I eat around 1200-1400 everyday, but your needs may be different. I stock my fridge and cupboard with lots of low cal stuff.....my list is below!

Good luck ladies...We are all here to support you! cheer2.gif You can do it! I promise! cheer2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
