We ordered a guest book from shutterfly using our engagement pictures I plan on having a sign encouraging guests to share with us words of wisdom, rather than just their signature.

Thanks for posting a pic! I've been thinking about getting a guestbook from shutterfly, it's great to see a sample.

We had our guests go for cocktails at a close-by bar for the 2 and a half hours we did pictures, and lets just say they drank....a lot! LOL! Some of the messages we got were nice and heartfelt, others were weird and somewhat inappropriate. We had people think it was not our real guestbook - not sure what would have led them to that thought, so we even offered to let people read what they wrote two days later and write something new if they wanted to but everyone said "nah, its ok."

Here is a pic of what we had set up to explain to people what to do, our emcee even read it out loud to everyone so they knew!

Firey Nurse,

Did you bring glass bottles with you or did you rent them from the decor company?

These are all awesome ideas! We love to do puzzles, so I am going to have a wooden puzzle made with one of our engagement photos on the front and have every guest sign the back of a puzzle piece. Once we get home we can put it together and frame it in a double glass paned frame! You can order them in different sizes depending on the number of guests and it would be pretty light and easy to pack!

Ohh it looks so good! Did Micheals have other colors? Do you have a template of your "instructions" to the guests? How many ppl did you have sign? How many papers fit in the bottle? Obviously you didnt have any problems transporting the bottle?

Thanks! Yup michaels had other colours, I can't remember exactly what but there were a few colours, pink, orange, purple, yellow or something. Just keep an eye out for them because they carry them sometimes in some colors and different colors different times. I think we had about 18 or so sign, they all fit. We needed tweezers to pull the ones out that people didnt wrap up small enough. We precut ribbons and tied one ribbon in a bow around the rest so they wouldn't blow off the table. I do have a template and will try to locate it for ya! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
