Hello everyone! I am happy to have the site as guidance but a bit overwhelmed!!!!

My fiance and I are planning our wedding At Dreams Punta Cana.

I have a few questions:

1. Which resort do you ladies recommend a) Dreams Punta Cana or B) Dreams Palm Beach (which is also in Punta Cana)??

2. Which Wedding package do you prefer?

3. Are the photos offered in packages enough or should we hire photographer?

Thank you all very much!!!!!

We are also looking at Dreams Punta Cana.  I am doing a little more research myself, including reading these forums, so hopefully we will decide on a resort soon.  I do know we do not plan to use the resort photographer.  There are a some that are highly recommended on this forum which we will consider.  And I will also look into a local photographer and possibly flying him/her in for the wedding.  Good luck with your planning!

Congrats and welcome!

I can't speak from any direct knowledge of photogs at either place, but I didn't hire an outside photographer and just used our resort photog and the pics were terrible that we didn't end up buying any.  It's my biggest regret about my wedding, so I would def look for someone with specific knowledge of the photogs that you would have (by name, not by company so you know exactly who will be taking your photos) and make a decision from there.  Just keep in mind that 4 years later, I still regret my decision, so it's a very important one even though I didn't think so at the time.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
